So close to the beach...
About 200 metres away is our family home set on 2 large blocks of land. This gives it a very spacious area for off street, safe and secluded parking for cars, boats, water sport vehicles and equipment either in the yard or under the 3 bay carport.
The home has 3 large bedrooms with comfortable queen sized beds. All bed and bathroom linen is provided. The main bathroom has a shower and hand basin. The toilet is seperate.
The functional kitchen has all necessary crockery, cutlery, cooking needs and utensiles and a dish washer. The pantry has some basic items to get you started. The dining area adjacent to the kitchen is quite roomy with seating for 6 and a high chair.
If you prefer to cook and dine out doors there is a paved, covered patio with setting for 6 and a bar b q with side burner for the wok which is supplied. This is set within a pleasant little garden with water feature; a delightful place to enjoy the company of family and frisnds.
Adjacent to the patio is the laundry in it's own building. There is a good sized washing machine and a dryer. This building also houses a 2nd toilet and what we call our 'after beach shower'.This is a very convenient toilet for the bar b q events You will find extra outdoor setting for guests here.
The front of the home has a fish pond in a natural garden setting. Small children must be suppervised at all times. If you are quiet you will see the gold fish. How many can you count? You could sit on the deck and watch the world go by and enjoy the sounds of the birds, and some times frogs while enjoying a quiet beverage.
By far, the best room in the home is the air conditioned lounge room. With it's north facing window you will delight in the pleasantness of the unrestricted ever changing rural views. Very relaxing. If you tire of the view there are books, games, music station, dvd player, a big TV and toys.
The cockle train line runs along the beach front right near the home and you can hear the horn as it approaches the bridge at Watson's Gap. If you listen you may hear the horn earlier at other crossings and dash the few mertes to watch it go by. Most often it is a steam engine except on fire ban days.
It is an easy walk along the beach, 200 metres away, to Port Elliot.... about 35 minutes; or for the more energetic, 70 minutes walk to Victot Harbor; or 3 minutes drive to Port Elliot and 7 minutes drive to Victor Harbor; depending on traffic ofcourse
4-6 Francis Street has a very warm, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere with beautiful views from many windows, lots of birds in the garden and at night when it is peaceful and quiet, you will hear the ocean.
It is an oasis in suburbia.
We welcome you to come and stay for a week, weekend or as long as you desire. bring your family and your friends or maybe you will like to just get away with your 'bestie'.
We look forward to welcoming you.
