Riverbank Home is situated right on The Harriet River and sports an intimate little fishing spot just metres from the front door. There are magnificent views of the river and to the ocean, from inside or from the verandah.
The home is adjacent to a conservation area. We enjoy spotting the wildlife, including a variety of birds, wallabies, a goanna, and an occasional echidna. Recently, we found a pygmy possum.Be sure you don't think it's a mouse. Blue wrens nest nearby. One hundred metres away is a great playground, and community BBQ's.
Riverbank is the perfect place for a couples retreat or for a wonderful family getaway. The solid, cottage brick home is beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. This is just the place to get away from it all, and is so relaxing.
Our holiday home has two roomy comfortable bedrooms. There is a queen bed in the main bedroom, with two single beds in the second. There is also a comfy double sofa bed in the living area, but separate from the family lounge suite.
The kitchen is well presented also and fully equipped, so family meals are no problem . There is a great BBQ, so someone can stand on the verandah and cook the chops and sausages while they watch the kids fishing
We provide a DVD player and CD player, and some board games, DVD's, and books. There is a little shop a couple of kilometres down the road, which has emergency supplies, stocks local wines, has petrol and gas, a phone box, and boasts famous Whiting Burgers and yummy chips. Riverbank is just a few minutes walk to the river mouth and Australia’s Best Beach; a long long white beach on which to stroll, run, fish, swim or search for snorkel spots. A couple of minutes drive will take you to the jetty a beautiful spot, and good for fishing.
