Arriving into Robe is one of the most unique coastal experiences that Australia has to offer.
The fact that this beautiful little village is situated on the southern coastline of Australia yet faces north over the stunning expanse of Guichen Bay is just the beginning of what makes Robe so special.
Grey Masts is one of Robes proudest heritage listed sandstone gems. With a past that has played a huge roll in the settlement of the South East of South Australia.
Situated in the center of town and directly across from one of Robes prettiest beaches makes Grey Masts the perfect location for a quick stop over or an extended visit.
Grey Mast's Interior.
Grey Masts has been lovingly restored and managed by the Aitken family since 2001. Although we have consciously brought back to life the original look and feel of this beautiful old building we have deliberately filled it with an eclectic assortment of furniture and art work. As a family we have always had a strong connection with art and furniture. This has been a love and a journey that has spread itself from the markets of Malacca in the late 1960's to Singapore, Hong Kong and across to Sydney and Melbourne. This well loved collection seams to fit beautifully within the walls of this amazing old building that has a history to match.
Beds and bedding.
Grey Masts offers an assortment of queen and single beds throughout it's bedrooms. We went to a lot of trouble to source the most comfortable beds that we could find. The fact that we still have past guests phone us to ask where they could find the same beds to buy tells me, we found them.
We supply all of linen and towels you will need.
