Description of the Residence:
Imagine sitting down on your own deck, staring out at the ocean across the dunes. A short walk of less than a minute brings you to a small bridge that leads to the pet friendly beach and rolling ocean as far as the eye can see. The Rhobar is perfectly situated for the family or couples. With great walking access to the beach and nearby counter meals at the local Surfside Motor Inn. It is only a short car ride to the shops and takeaway areas of Scamander, this house has something for everyone.
This pet friendly brick house can comfortably host up to five people in three bedrooms, with a queen bed in the main bedroom, a double and a single bed in the other two bedrooms. The secured yard enables you to comfortably keep your pets with you in your home away from home. The yard is big enough for kids or pets to enjoy without disturbing you as you relax out on the deck, watching the ocean.
There is a gas barbeque out the back, and conveniently, a ‘fisherman’s sink’ where you can clean your freshly caught fish. There is plenty of room to move and seating for guests to enjoy their drinks as the sun goes down to the smell of cooking meat and fish. There is also a lemon tree to provide your catch with a beautiful tang.
Beautifully decorated and set out, the Rhobar boasts a welcoming entryway that leads into the main areas of the house. The main bedroom is off to the right as you enter the house, with glorious ocean views – imagine waking up to that Along the hallway are two other bedrooms and the bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet. The laundry which is equipped with a washing machine and ironing board is also off the hallway and leads to the backyard.
The kitchen is tucked around the corner and boasts a huge oven and cooktop which would not be out of place in any professional kitchen. The kitchen looks overlooks the dining room, which in itself has amazing views of the ocean. The dining room can comfortably seat all guests and open plan design leads into the lounge room which houses a huge television and a wood burning fireplace, with plenty of comfortable seating in the form of reclining lounge and chairs. There is also a dvd player and a small selection of dvds for guest use. Leaving the lounge room you can walk out of the door and onto the deck where you return to the ocean views that the Rhobar is famous for.
The Rhobar also has complimentary coffee and tea, with a selection of kitchen essentials. There is also an ironing board and iron and extra linen in the hallway cupboard, with a washing machine and freezer situated in the laundry.

Beaumaris is a quiet seaside township with views of the beach and ocean. Imagine sitting back and having a drink after a hard day of road tripping, watching the waves crashing onto the beach. Hearing that gentle hiss of the water so close to you that it makes you forget about your day to day life and just makes you want to relax and unwind.
To have a holiday at Beaumaris is to open yourself up to peace and tranquillity, while still maintaining a good central location for day trips or that shorter trip to the local attractions. The beautiful beach is untouched and magnificent for surfing or beach fishing. Children can play in the sand, spending hours amusing themselves while you unwind and listen to the ocean and read a book. The beach being so close to your house is ideal as you don’t have to lug anything to the beach with you. As for things to do, if you are only wanting a quick drive somewhere close by then for short trips you could visit Falmouth, an idyllic township for that quiet day out, rock hopping or beach combing. Try a spot of fishing off the rocks or continue on towards Four Mile Creek and the picturesque Iron House Brewery – only a twenty minute drive from where you are staying.
Take in Scamander, only five minutes down the road. A supermarket and petrol station, great for that fuel stop before a long trip, greet you as you drive towards the Scamander Bridge, where you can see the magnificent ocean in all its glory. With huge waves crashing down on the vast expanse of beach and the Scamander River greeting the ocean. Fishing is very popular here and there a couple of places to sit down and eat, for that night out or just a quick lunch. Although if you are tired and just was a quick bite to eat, the Surfside Motor Inn is a short one minute walk from Rhobar Ocean View House. Sensational views and good quality, reasonably priced meals are a hallmark of this establishment, with pizzas also available.
Beaumaris is also a short twelve minute car trip to the town of St Helens where you will find the freshest seafood, the beautiful George’s Bay and some of the best coffee in the entire East Coast. You can wander the town of St Helens, with easy parking everywhere. There is a library for all your reading needs, an information centre, a cinema, a chemist and shops full of knick knacks.
You can walk to the foreshore and along the docks where you will see the trawlers coming in with their days catch, and along the way there are a couple of seafood restaurants with award winning food and a perfect atmosphere for quick dining or a longer dinner.
For longer, day trips, think of the Great Eastern Drive. Imagine driving to Hobart via the East Coast Road, taking in the gorgeous scenery from the road only metres away from the ocean. You can travel down through Bicheno, Orford, Swansea and Coles Bay, the gateway to the Freycinet Nation Park and the award winning Wine Glass Bay.
Or if you go north you can visit Binalong Bay a place of breathtaking beauty and crystal clear waters or further along, the Bay of Fires. The Bay of Fires has been named by Lonely Planet as the hottest travel destination in the world, and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful places in Tasmania. Walk for miles along sugar-white sandy beaches, swim in the impossibly clear ocean, and feel like you’re the only person to have ever set foot here.
