The house is situated on a spacious and private block with views to the west of the Sisters, and only five minutes walk to Steels Beach and Henderson Lagoon. There are four bedrooms with queen beds and linen provided; the main bedroom has an en suite and its own deck to have your morning tea or coffee on. There is a separate toilet and the bathroom has a bath with views of the hills. There is also a laundry.

The house has a grey water system, reverse cycle hot water system, an inbuilt composting unit in the sink, double glazing, insulation in the floor, walls and ceiling. The floor acts as a heat bank in the kitchen and living areas and for those evenings that maybe be a little cool there is a pellet heater.

Falmouth is a small township out on a headland, there is no shop but the nearest one is only 10kms away approx half way between St Helens and Bicheno, an ideal location for exploring the surrounding east coast or just kicking back and relaxing. There is a beautiful beach of white sand that stretches for 10kms and a tidal lagoon. At the top end of the lagoon you will find the Winifred Curtis Reserve with an abundance of bird life.

The fishing is great in the area, plus there are lots of choices for swimming, surfing, wind surfing, kayaking or the more relaxing option of sitting on a beach multiple beautiful and empty beaches watching the waves roll in.

Not far away to the south is the Douglas Apsley National Park, Freycinet National Park and to the north the Bay of Fires, Binalong Bay and the Blue Tiers, or up the St Marys Pass is St Patricks Headland Paddy's Head and the South Sister to climb for stunning views.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous place for a family gathering! We had a quick stay at Boutara, arriving late in the evening and heading off early the next morning. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area as there were many postive reviews regarding the area. The house is large and spacious, perfect for a large family gathering. The kitchen was big and open, perfect for entertaining. Highly recommend Boutara!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Time We have just spent a very happy weekend at this beautiful property. The house was immaculate when we arrived, beds very comfortable & the kitchen is the best equipped one we have found in any rental accomodation. We highly recommend Boutara as a great place to stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boutara we will be back This house and its location provides more than a home-away-from-home. It is extremely spacious so that guests can find their own private nooks, both inside and out. The rooms are large and beautifully lit and heated. The kichen/dininglounge rooms are perfect for larger gatherings but also comforting for the sole traveller. I can see family or friendship groups equally enjoying this get-away.The walk to the beach and its lagoons is tiny, the grounds would be ideal for children also opposite to a children's playground. We certainly did not want to come home....Thank you for this gem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful peaceful location! We spent a week at Boutara with 3 generations of family ranging from 2 to 75 years old. The place was absolutely wonderful, so well equipped and in a beautiful location. Kids especially loved the trampoline and the hundreds of crabs they found at the lagoon in low tide! Can't wait to go back!!!
