If you want to "get away from it all" for a few days then Max's is the place for you. We cherish those moments of peaceful relaxation and you can do just that at Max's. Max's is an extremely comfortable holiday house for those wishing to visit the East Coast of Tasmania. Whether you want to kick back with friends and family, go surfing at the many local surf breaks or catch a few fish in the beautiful Scamander or from the beach you will find Max's the ideal place.
Watching the black swans glide by on the lagoon at the back of Max's as the moon rises over the ocean makes the perfect setting for a real break. If you're lucky to come at the right time of year you may be able to catch a few king prawns in the lagoon - but don't tell too many this
A little bit about us.
Kim and I love this part of Tasmania and the lifestyle it offers. We have two terrific sons aged 19 and 16 and surfing as a family is one of our favourite things to do. We both work part time at the local school in St Helens.
Music is a big part of our lives, Kim is a singer/songwriter and both boys love their music and play guitar. They both play bass guitar in various bands.
I am an artist and have been painting for most of my life. Painting makes me incredibly happy. The artworks on the walls at Max's are my works from various time periods.
We all enjoy healthy, fresh food. Kim is a keen gardener and keeps us well fed with his garden goodies. We also often enjoy what the sea has to offer on the fabulous East Coast.
We feel very fortunate to live in a place where people come to for a holiday and we really appreciate that.
Max was Kim's Dad, he was my first friend when I moved to Tasmania 20 years ago. He had the house built in the 70's and Kim holidayed here as a boy. We still miss Max. He was one of the most mindful people I've ever met.
As guests we are a tidy respectful family and are mindful of the energy that is involved in running and cleaning a holiday rental. We all contribute to the running, cleaning and maintaining of our beach house.
