Fishing? Wine Tasting?
Just 400m due East you have the peaceful Waterloo Beach, looking out to Great Oyster Bay. 500m due North and you have the City Centre and Jubilee Beach. A small drive 5min, you can access the pristine nine mile beach. All beaches are rock free and sheltered from large swells on most days.
If you like to try your hand at fishing, you could choose to throw a line from the beaches...great flathead and maybe a salmon There is a jetty on both beaches, with Jubliee Beach boasting a substantial jetty to allow you to cast way into the bay.
River fishing is a treat on the Swan River, easily accessed just to the north. Your 3 main options are the top jetty 5 min away, Yellow Sands 10 min or at the Swan mouth 15min. You could land yourself a massive Bream with not too much effort.
Swansea is right in the middle of a fantastic wine route. To the north, you find 5 exceptional wineries within 20 minutes of each other. You also have award winning Kelvedon just South of the town. These are all brilliantly appointed with quality local wines at cellar door prices. Most offer the opportunity to picnic in their grounds as you enjoy their offerings.
