Beaches – Kelvedon, Mayfield, Coswell, Kenedia, Jubilee, Spiky and Cressy are all nearby.
10 – 15 minutes to wine tastings and interesting foods at Cranbrook and beyond. Don’t miss Melshell along Dolphin Sands Road – follow the signs for shelled oysters $18 dozen
30 minutes to Triabunna Wharf and Maria Island Ferries.
35 minutes to Bicheno – Penguin tours, glass bottom boat tours, animal nursery, and so on.
45 minutes to Douglas-Apsley Reserve lower – 5ks dirt road but beautiful area for a picnic by the river
45 minutes to Coles Bay – Freycinet Oyster Farm on the way – then beautiful walks and beaches. Don’t miss Cape Tourville wheelchair friendly with views into Wine Glass Bay and up the Friendly Beaches. Wander down into Sleepy Bay – very special.
