It's a1 minute walk to the park for the kids, or a short stroll across the lights to either the beach or the sporting activities at the West Park oval. Burnie is known as the City of Makers, and you can see them in action, again by a short stroll across the road. Witness the fairy penguin nightly pilgrimage up the beach to the burrows on the foreshore between September and March each year. A 3 minute walk from the front door, will also take you into the heart of the CBD, where you will find a multitude of cafe's and restaurants.
The Burnie waterfront is also 3-5 minute stroll away, where you can enjoy some Fish and Chips, whilst the kids play on the equipment.
Fernglade is a short drive away, and you are more than likely to see Platypus enjoying the tranquil surroundings. Hellyers Road Distillery is just outside of town, and boasts a fabulous cafe in addition to Whiskey Tours and retail opportunities abound.
