Hawley is the original homestead of the 150 hectare Rubicon Estate, which has been the Houghton family's home for three generations. The property is home to a vast array of endemic animals, including nearby fairy penguin and muttonbird rookeries, It is a short drive to the famous wombats of the Narawntapu National Park, and the shy Wedge-tailed eagles, and Tasmanian Devil pawprints can sometimes be sighted when exploring kilometres of nature trails that meander through our extensive wildlife reserve of coastal heathland and peppermint forest.
