It is rare in the world to find such a powerful place as the Leven Canyon, that is so easy to access. Enjoy spectacular sweeping views from Cruickshanks Lookout 275m above the Leven River. Alongside the track, discover ferns, brightly coloured fungi and native wildlife.
Latrobe offers some lovely cafes and shopping - a definite must see is Reliquaire !!
Feeling adventurous? Why not visit stunning Cradle Mountain, Dial Range with short treks and beautiful views, Rocky Cape National Park, Stanley with "The Nut" or Narawntapu National Park with lots of wildlife.
Sheffield is Tasmania’s largest outdoor art gallery and known as ‘the town of murals’, with sensational views of picturesque Mount Roland.
For the gourmet food lovers: Visit cheese factories, Raspberry, Strawberry and Cherry farms, Chocolate factory and honey farm, Salmon farm as well as restaurants, and cafes’s where you can taste some of the delicious Tasmanian seafood and other Tasmanian products available. Visit some wineries and the Tasmanian Whisky Distillery in Burnie.
