1 on Jackson is a lovingly renovated 1914 Federation style weatherboard home

The house is self contained, fully furnished for corporate stays, couples or families wishing to enjoy a relaxed stay with ample off street parking.

Large verandah on the rear of the house which also has clear blinds to close in winter for a cosy area with Gas BBQ.

Two minutes drive from the Burnie/Wynyard Airport with direct flights to and from Melbourne with car hire available, it is about 45 minutes drive from the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry Terminal in Devonport.

This is a perfect base from which to explore the North West of Tasmania.

Guest accommodation includes:

4 bedrooms with a king bed, 2 queen beds & 2 single beds with bedside lights and clock/radios, a cot, high chair and pusher is also supplied for guests use.

Large kitchen/dining with fan forced wall oven, ceramic cook top, microwave, slow cooker and dishwasher, most cooking utensils/pots and pans are supplied, table will seat 8.

Large lounge room with 2 comfortable recliner chairs and 3 seat lounge & rocking chair to relax in, reverse cycle air conditioner, TV/DVD, ample books to read, games to play and jigsaws to occupy your time.

Separate office if you have to work or study.

Modern bathroom with shower and separate bathtub and toilet.

Shopping bags for use required at supermarket are provided for your convenience to use in the pantry cupboard, shopping trolley if you wish to walk to the shops.

The laundry has a second toilet, washtub, washing machine, clothes dryer, ironing facilities, and washing basket with pegs for using the clothes line undercover in the verandah.

In the outdoors, why not explore what Wynyard and surrounding areas have to offer.

The Wonders of Wynyard Exhibition Centre/Visitor Information Centre is a good place to begin, which includes the Ransley Veteran Car Collection and Art Gallery.

The views on the Table Cape Scenic Drive are spectacular and while at the Cape a tour of the historic 1888 lighthouse is worth doing which is one of 4 in Australia built from stone.

In tulip season October/ November walk among the tulips at Van Diemen Bulb Farm. The Tulip Festival is held annually in October.

At low tide, a stroll around Fossil Bluff will excite the geologist in you.

For those who enjoy walking, there are several walks of various durations along the banks of the Inglis River & seafront, or why not take in the pleasant vista of the parkland and estuary at Gutteridge Gardens.

See the largest crustaceans in the world growing up to 5kg and 80cm in length at the Flowerdale Lobster Haven, these endangered creatures are unique to the northern streams of Tasmania located about 10 minutes drive out of town.

There are two golf courses in Wynyard a yacht club and and boat ramps for the fishermen.

Go swimming at the beach at East Wynyard or Boat harbour or go kayaking on the Inglis river.

The township of Wynyard is flat making it ideal for walking & cycling.

Public bus transport operates connecting with most Tasmanian towns.

The Visitor Information Centre, within walking distance from home, has extensive knowledge and information available of day trips to do from Wynyard.

eg: Cradle Mountain, The Nut at Stanley, the Tarkine Rainforest Drive, West coast area, Makers workshop in Burnie and many other Tasmanian tourist attractions are all possible day trip destinations.
