Welman Street Cottage is situated in one of Launceston's best addresses, sitting high above Launceston with panoramic views over the city and down to the Tamar River.

Launceston is regarded as one of the most intact heritage citys in Australia and Welman Street is a great example of this heritage architecture.

The property has been recently extensively renovated and every thing is near new. Being fully selfcontained all modern conveniences are in place, with good air conditioning and heating, LCD TV, upto date fully equiped kitchen, comfortable beds and all linen and towels are provided.

In the Master bedroom there is a queen size bed and in the second bedroom there is a double bed and a king single bed which is large enough for an adult.

The property is private and quiet and catches all day sun, the verandah is a great place to sit in the afternoon and enjoy a glass of wine and take in the stunning views.

Being located just 5 mins from the CBD, supermarket and main restaurant strip it is a great location for guests who wish enjoy a walk.

The Launceston Aquatic Centre, a new modern leisure centre is also 5 mins walk and great for those guests with children or wanting a Gym or pool.

Just 3 mins away is St George's Square, a beautiful park area. Food vans a regularly open at the park in the evenings offering varied types of take away food, which are highly recommended.

Wireless NBN Internet is included free of charge and there is parking for two cars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable cottage Lovely 2 bedroom cottage was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Walking distance to town and aquatics centre. Afternoon sun and views from the living/dining area. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Close to town, shopping and restaurants Fabulous house with everything we needed for a week away in Lonnie. Host goes to extreme to ensure comfort in house. Myers and the mall just a short walk and also many restaurants and cafés. If you like a morning walk you will find beautiful scenes in every direction. I would choose to stay here on every visit to Lonnie!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Close to centre, amenities and with a great view We stayed here for 5 nights and it was ideal for attending a conference in town (5 min walk) and is positioned in a part of Launceston that I love. It's a beautiful area with cafes a walking distance, either down in Charles st near the hospital or over to East Lanceston's cafe/deli spot. The local butcher is around the corner at the top of Law st or there is a Coles two blocks down towards the town centre. We also went to the Harvest market on Sat, which is in a car park off York st, to get supplies. This is one of the best local produce markets Ive been too. It's walking distance to two parks and the Design Centre of Tasmania which is worth a visit. The home was specifically kitted out for short stay rental so had everything we needed. It has been beautifully finished and is very, very comfortable. The view over the Tamar is lovely! As with anywhere in Launceston, it is on a hill which was fine for my 70 year old Dad. We walked or used the free Tiger Buses to get to the Launceston museum and near the Gorge. We didn't end up using a car but there is car parking reserved for local permit holders outside the home - the owner has one of these to give you when you first arrive since all parking that is walking diatance to town is limited or permit only during the day. Otherwise, recommend highly. It's exactly what we wanted for our short stay!
