92A is a refurbishment of the original 1950's house. We were lucky (unusually for its time) to find it had very large wooden picture windows along all the river-facing windows in the living room and two front bedrooms.
We've tried to maintain all the beautiful parts of the era including the curved ends of the hallway and fireplace, the hardwood kitchen cabinets wardrobes and the bakelite door handles, (like the old bakelite telephones of that time).
The first bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a queen, and a single bed. It also has a tv/dvd, (in case adults have taken over the living room).
On the south side of the apartment are a bathroom, separate toilet, another small bedroom with single bed, hall and kitchen. The kitchen has a second dining table, gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave and front-loader washing machine. The bathroom includes a bath as well as shower. Pantry includes various drygoods such as cereal, tea, coffee, flour, sugar.
The bathroom has a bath, shower vanity. Next door are toilet and a second vanity.
Parking is just outside on our side of the street for this apartment - just normal residential parking with no restrictions - the steps down are well lit at night. Amenities such as Foxtel, WIFI, large DVD library, /mini laptop/laser printer, washing machine, complimentary local calls, childrens' cupboard are common to both apartments.
You are very welcome to scavenge from the garden. The bottom garden with chooks and rabbits is a communal area. There are now six rabbits (mostly rescued from the RSPCA) in a 8x8m enclosure. You can walk into, sit and feed them. You'll have to wind your way down the bottom of the garden that faces the river to find this. The chooks do lay eggs. However, they roam the entire garden, so their nests can be very difficult to find. You are certainly welcome to any eggs you can find.
Barbeque area is available.
No other pets, no parties or smoking on the premises, please.
In the kitchen is a complimentary well stocked pantry which includes 4-types of cereal+ tea, coffee, herbal teas, flour, rice, etc. All linens plus shampoo, conditioner, shower gel are also provided, including down/feather doonas and electric blankets in winter.
We maintain a book with lots of suggestions for things to do, maps and brochures for you to take away.
4 minutes to Launceston CBD (2.9km)
1 minute Trevallyn Grocer (specialty deli/cafe/supermarket) plus bakery/newsagent/pharmacy (1km)
2 minutes to Woolworths shopping centre (1.8km)
2 minutes to Tailrace Park (huge children's play area, with wooden maze and ducks you can feed). It is directly below us on the river and can be seen from the apartments.
300m to Keros takeaway fish shop and West Tamar Highway, (which starts you on the West Tamar wine route)
Slip back on the highway from Forest Road and you are at the beginning of the Tamar Valley Wine Route
3 mins to The Cataract Gorge, Stillwater Restaurant/Cafe and The Mill Providore
