This warm and spacious renovated Victorian cottage with all the modern conveniences, in a garden setting at the end of a cul-de-sac, is close to the CBD and has sweeping views out over the valley from the sunny front porch. It is 5 minutes walk from the city’s best cafes on Charles St. and a late opening supermarket. There are two off-street parking spaces. Stay warm with the slow combustion wood stove and reverse cycle heating, and in touch with NBN WiFi. It is about 15 minutes by car from the airport and 5 minutes walk to bus routes on Charles St.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen, new beds and high quality linen and towels, washing machine and dryer and a deep cast iron claw-foot bath to soak away your aches from walking the historic town. The main bedroom, looking out onto the front verandah and garden, has a queen size bed, and the second bedroom, with a window onto the courtyard, has a double bed and single upper bunk.
Warm yourself in front of the slow combustion wood stove or with the reverse-cycle heating in the lounge. Heat distribution ducting feeds the other rooms if you have the fire going or there are electric heaters for spot-heating the other rooms. Watch TV or stream from your devices, and listen your own music on the BT connected soundbar. There is a private courtyard with fold-out clothesline, BBQ for the excellent Tasmanian produce, and an outdoor table and chairs.
The house is a few minutes walk to Launceston hospital and we welcome visitors in town for treatment or to be with relatives and friends, as well as staff seeking short to medium term accommodation.
