The Rusty Bike Retreat is a unique cabin style home nestled in amongst tall Eucalypt trees in a 50 acre nature conservancy. Here you can relax in a serene natural setting and quietly observe native Tasmanian animals and birdlife with no neighbours.
There are plenty of activities to see and do only a short 5 minute drive away including the thrill and adventure of flying through the forest canopy on the Hollybank Zipline tour , more relaxing Segway Tour, or the Holly Bank tree tops rope challenge course. Bike hire is also available to try out the bike trails including the Juggernaut track.
Only 10 minutes drive is a beautiful short walk to the waterfalls in the Lilydale falls Reserve where free barbeques, playground equipment and picnic spots. Lilydale village also has supermarket and take away shop for supplies and is a lovely quaint village to wander around and look at the painted poles the arts community are known for.
The rusty bike retreat is a perfect spot to have as a base for touring the north east of Tasmania. It is a 30 minutes drive North East from all the attractions Launceston has to offer. It nestled half way between Launceston and the beautiful Bridestowe Lavender Farm which is open all year.
Quaint and picuresque Bridport and world class Barnbougle Dunes Golf Course are also only a 35 minute drive. Bridport has quaint cafes to enjoy whilst watching the ocean, a lovely child friendly forshore reserve and a visitors information centre.
