Maxy's By The Sea is situated in Alonnah, the main township of Bruny Island. Here there is a pharmacy, general store and the poplar Hotel Bruny which is open from 11am for all day lunch and dinner 7 days a week, with the exception of Christmas Day. Hotel Bruny offers a restaurant, main bar and bottleshop across from Alonnah's main beach. It specialises in using fresh local and Tasmanian produce, with an extensive Tasmanian wine list. Hotel Bruny is just a 10 minute walk or two minutes by car.
Alonnah is a central part of Bruny Island's south, with just a 30 minute drive to the award winning Bruny Island Cruises and 45 minutes to the South Bruny National Park where you can visit the amazing surf beaches of Cloudy Bay and the incredible Cape Bruny Lighthouse. If you enjoy great Oysters, Cheese and Fudge, Bushwalks and vast Beaches, and less populated area's with terrific drives, and coastal views Bruny Island is a must visit destination.
