A very convenient home away from home, only 10 minutes from the airport, and 15 minutes from Hobart CBD/waterfront, where you can spread out, relax, re-energize, and experience the peaceful Tasmanian country life with fresh air and beautiful views,
Preservation Farm is a newly-built, architect-designed, solar-powered, and private farm cottage on 21 acres.
It's located in the beautiful Coal River Valley, the premier food and wine trail of Tasmania.
The gently winding road visible from the cottage is dotted with 15 vineyards, 4 cellar door restaurants, 2 cheesemakers, 2 pick your own fruit farms in the summer.
Some of the best of Tasmania's food, wine, and whiskies are at your doorstep.
With views to farmland, the valley, Pitt Water, and Frederick Henry Bay, the environmentally-friendly Preservation Farms accommodates up to 4 people.
It's well appointed with 2 bedrooms 1 queen, and 2 single beds, a kitchenette/dining area, a bathroom with a shower, a spacious outdoor deck with a Weber barbecue.
The new beds are very comfortable, the bathroom and kitchen are spotless.
The cottage is designed to accommodate guests with impaired mobility.
Depending on the season, you can help yourselves to the vegetables growing in the beds just in the front of the deck.
From the generous deck, you can also enjoy viewing the wildlife that include wallabies, wedge-tailed eagles, and many other bird species, depending on who makes an appearance.
