"INGLEHOPE" is a delightful, fully restored country house overlooking the estuary and yacht club at Cygnet just a two minute walk from the village centre. The house was built in 1910 and was completely refurbished a few years ago. Pressed 10 feet high metal ceilings, a bay window, wooden floors, a large bathtub, and the wood burning fireplace have been retained and combined with the convenience of a modern, well equipped kitchen, laundry, two bathrooms and central heating. There are three bedrooms, two large living areas and everything you need for a getaway in this beautiful part of the world

The master suite has a king size bed, a large walk in robe and an en suite with shower. French doors open to views of the estuary, garden, yacht club and nature reserve. The en-suite combines marble, timber and glass with the beauty of a leadlight window.

The second bedroom is smaller but also has a king size bed and French doors to the garden. Watch blue wrens frolic under silver birch trees and enjoy blossoms on the flowering plum outside your door.

There is a third bedroom with a double bed. This room is sunny and very comfortable if needed.

The kitchen overlooking the garden is beautifully appointed with marble bench tops, an electric oven with gas cook top, coffee machine with locally roasted coffee kettle, sandwich press dishwasher, microwave and a refrigerator / freezer

The lounge room is light, spacious and a wonderful place to relax with many original artworks here and throughout the house. Enjoy a flat screen TV with DVD, and surround sound system, or curl up on a sofa with your favourite book.

The spacious dining room has a wood heater and a 6 seater dining table, perfect for enjoying the delicious local produce or sitting down to a family board game.

The laundry has everything required to make your stay comfortable with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

The house is surrounded by extensive gardens for relaxing in or playing games on the lawn or seasonally enjoy plums, apricots and apples. There are many herbs growing outside the kitchen for your use.

On arrival at Inglehope you will find the fridge stocked with many items of locally sourced produce for you to enjoy. This includes milk, apple juice, eggs, bacon, bread, butter, jam, honey, fresh apples, pears and other seasonal fruit. The pantry is stocked with basic staples including chutneys, oils, condiments, flour, pasta and local potatoes, onion and garlic please advise of any dietary requirements before your stay.

Cygnet is an ideal base to enjoy all that Southern Tasmania has to offer. Enjoy fresh local produce, wineries, walks in ancient forests, rugged coastal walks, local pubs, gourmet cafes and galleries or visit Hobart only 45 minutes away. The Huon and channel areas are fast becoming foodie hot spots. There is a market on nearly every weekend in one or another of the towns in the surrounding areas. Salamanca market on Saturdays and the Hobart Farm Gate Market and Cygnet Market every 2nd Sunday of the Month are all a must see. Visit Kettering and take the ferry to Bruny Island for the day or Peppermint Bay at Woodbridge, only 20 minuets away.

The area is well known for its bush walking, cherry and apple orchards. Cygnet is a favoured tourist destination for those wishing to experience the beauty and tranquility of Southern Tasmania, and Inglehope is your perfect base to enjoy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a must WOW! Everything you could imagine in a country home, this is not a holiday house, this is a country home. My husband and I could have unpacked the suitcase and lived here forever. From the extra tit bits to that lovely bed and dona and Glen Campbell in the cd player. Heaven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exquisite This is an example of you get what you paid for. If you think it's a bit expensive or you would rather save your pennies for something else on your holiday, think again. This place is worth it, in every way, plus Cygnet a short stroll down the quiet waterfront . Do yourself a favour .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Beautiful We had a great break in this beautiful house. Hannah and Jo had thought of everything and the fridge full of local produce was a lovely touch. We felt very welcome and can't wait to come back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truely memorable and magical stay at Inglehope I surprised my two sisters for their birthday with a holiday stay at Inglehope but I think I got the best treat by seeing the look on their faces as we drove up to the lovely cottage. We all agreed this was easily the most elegant, charming and warmly inviting home we had ever had the pleasure of visiting. Everything was absolutely perfect. The view from the main bedroom overlooking the estuary is superb. The kitchen is a chef's delight and together we were able to cook up some wonderful meals with the outstanding selection of locally sourced produce. When we weren't cooking, we made the most of the fabulous cafe's and other dining options in the area. Everything was within walking distance. The bedrooms were luxurious and comfy. The fireplace was warm, cosy and wonderful to come home to after a day of sightseeing. The cottage is meticulously clean and we really appreciated all the surprise gourmet treats Jo and Hannah provided. The attention to detail throughout the cottage is amazing and we would all stay at Inglehope again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for a truly memorable and magical stay.
