Self contained beachside accommodation located in Dunalley, the gateway to Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula.
Flotsam has two fabulous fully self-contained studios, right at the doorway to the Tasman Peninsula. Each has their own private surroundings and fantastic views. We are about 30 mins due east of Hobart Airport. It's ideal for one-night stays, but, if time permitting, treat yourself to a few days so you can explore this incredible area which is all within easy reach. The Studios are well-designed and modern, and have lovely touches which will make your stay very comfortable and special.
Flotsam is perched high above the beautiful Dunalley Beach which you can access from your studio. At low tide you can walk way out on the shoals. It's quite unique. And only 15 mins away is the start to the Tasman Peninsula, where you can visit the Port Arthur Convict Site and all the natural wonders, like the Tasman Arch and the Blow Hole, or put your hiking boots on an do the famous walks - like Three Capes, Crescent Beach, Ship Stern's Bluff, Waterfall Bay They're fabulous Or if you want to explore the beaches, there's our Marion Bay Beach, or Sommer's Bay Beach near Murdunna, or Eaglehawk Neck Beach, or the lovely bay beaches of Dodges Ferry.
We have some terrific places to eat in Dunalley - the Waterfront Cafe, where you can watch the boats at anchor in Blackman Bay. Or go to Bruce's down on the canal for authentic fish and chips wrapped in newspaper. Or just over the road from us is the lovely Bangor Vineyard where you can have food and wine. And the Dunalley Hotel is always open for dinner and they specialise in fresh local fish.
Basically you have full access to the block, we just ask that you respect each other's privacy.

If you have any worries during your stay, you can call or email me. I live 10 minutes away. I think it's important for you to have your own space.
Other things to note
We recommend that if you are planning to cook for yourself that you stop in Sorell to pick up your supplies. There's a Woolworths and Coles, bottle shops, chemists, just about everything. There isn't a supermarket in Dunalley.
