Description

This beautifully furnished and fully appointed apartment is so convenient and provides the perfect city escape. Set in the historic Gasworks Complex which incorporates Hogs Breath Café and 9/11 bottleshop in the inner city, it is amongst the very best of locations as a base to explore all that Hobart has to offer. Only a short stroll to the waterfront, botanical gardens, CBD, Museum and famous Salamanca Place with all it's galleries and events.

There are internal stairs from the front door to the modern fully equipped kitchen and dining area where there is a reverse cycle heat pump to keep you warm. The bathroom has a large double shower, full sized bath tub and a twin vanity unit and there is a washing machine and dryer available for your use during your stay.

The main bedroom has a king sized bed, built in robes and its own wall mounted TV. There is double glazed windows to keep out the city traffic noise and a chandelier to add that bit of luxury. The second bedroom with a queen sized bed is alongside the sitting room that has another TV, a desk and a comfortable lounge that folds out to a double bed if requested.

With so many local restaurants, attractions and activities within walking distance there may be no need to hire a car to see the best this beautiful city has to offer, however if required there is a parking permit provided at check in to display in the front windscreen. The complex has a public car park however parking spaces are not 100 guaranteed.

Please note that Gasworks Apartment Unit 15 is located on Macquarie Street which is a busy gateway to Hobart CBD however the double glazed windows in the main bedroom assist with noise control.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Centrally located This appartment is well located for a few days exploring Hobart. The central location is a short walk to the docks, restaurants, major supermarket and other conveniences - so we walked everywhere. The apartment is clean and comfortable, with a generous main bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen and living areas are very small, but likewise comfortable and suitable as a base for a short stay. As others have noted the apartment is on a very busy road, but triple glazing meant there was hardly any noise. As a heritage building entry is a little tricky due to limited markings and the busy road, but clear instructions helped us to find the unusual entry.
