Description

This beautiful apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is just a short walk to the city centre.

The apartment is large and sunny with a lovely retro vibe, including the original 1950s fireplace sadly only decorative now and huge corner windows. The apartment has been furnished and decorated to a high standard to ensure your stay is relaxing and comfortable.

The apartment is one of 4 others in a character 1950s building. Though the building is old the apartment has been fully renovated and is brand new inside. While keeping the original character we have many modern luxuries like heated bathroom floors and double glazed windows.

Situated at the end of a dead-end street, with a beautiful park in front and a tree-lined rivulet behind, the apartments in this block are very private and peaceful.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking up a storm, with full size oven and cooktop, large fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. We even have a pod coffee machine for the caffeine addict Not the cooking type, then take advantage of the central location and eat out in one of the many fantastic eateries that Hobart has to offer we have a few suggestions in the apartment, to get you started.

There are 2 full bathrooms, so no queues in the morning The main bathroom has a freestanding bath, a large walk-in shower and the luxury of a heated floor. The ensuite also has a walk-in shower and heated floors. There is a full laundry with a washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.

There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and a walk-in wardrobe and the other with twin single beds. Great for 2 couples travelling together or for families. Or maybe have the place to yourselves, for a romantic weekend or as a base for your business travel a great alternative to a hotel room.

Easy walk to the city centre, historic Battery Point, Salamanca, the University and the village of Sandy Bay.

A reverse cycle air-conditioner will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. The apartment is fully insulated and has double glazing, very important for those chilly winter nights. We take our heating seriously at the apartment with each bedroom also having its own panel heater and under-floor heating in both bathrooms

A large LED TV and DVD player, plus a selection of movies, will keep you entertained. There is free WiFi for those who like to stay connected. There is also a great children's play area in the park across the road.

Bedroom 1: queen bed, walk-in robe and ensuite bathroom .

Bedroom 2: 2 long single beds.

AREA

Apartment No 1 is situated at the end of a dead-end street, opposite a leafy park at the front and bordering a rivulet at the back.

It is about 1.5km from the city centre about 20 minutes walk and less than a kilometre from Sandy Bay Village and Battery Point. There are a number of good cafes and restaurants nearby. The University of Tasmania is only a short walk away.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All good except parking The apartment is clean and new. Convenient 10 mins walk to shops and restaurants. Very quiet and peaceful location. The only thing we didnt like is the parking which can be very challenging if apartment 3 parking lot is occupied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home away from home We arrived at the property after a 5 hour drive with a 10 month old and it was a relief to open the door and dump our bags. The apartment has been really beautifully renovated and the owners have put a lot of attention to detail in to every aspect of it. We arrived to a coffee machine, coffee pods, washing powder, and beautiful Sukin products in all the bathrooms. I am really fussy about sheets & towels and bathrooms and both were exceptional. The location is pretty good too. We walked into town and to the Salamanca markets on our first full day there. It is about a 20 minute walk but there are a few hills. A couple of things to note is that parking is really tight and if we had brought my husbands ute we probably wouldn't have fitted into our allocated spot when the neighbours were parked there, however the outlander we were driving did fit in. There is also steep steps down to the apartment which don't really suit prams, I was with my husband and teenage son so this didn't bother us at all really though. Also a little bit of noise between our place and the one next door but the master bedroom is on the other side of the house so this again didn't bother us at all. Anyway, I don't really want to draw negatives to the place because honestly we loved it and will ensure we stay there every time we visit Hobart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic, clean and well appointed apartment. This is modern, quiet and well appointed apartment in an excellent location. The only drawback being car parking where you had to reverse your car over 100 metres to get into a very tight space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent place to stay A beautifully renovated property, that was very comfortable & stylish. The park across the road was a hit with our small kids. Such a beautiful area with close access to Sandy Bay Rd shops. The only draw back was the slightly awkward parking & pram access but don't let that deter you.
