If you are arriving by car, there is parking by the front door.
The villa is located in a quiet cul-de-sac but only meters to a major shopping centre with large supermarket, bakery etc.
It is less than 100 metres to the Glenorchy State library, Hoyts cinema, bike tracks and walking paths, and sporting grounds. The Glenorchy public pool is about a 5 minute walk away as is the local YMCA and kid centre. The Derwent Entertainment Centre is about 10 minutes level walk.
Public transport in Hobart is via bus and the local bus mall is 100 metres from the unit. From here you can catch a bus to Hobart City Centre and then a 5 minute walk will have you in the middle of Salamanca or the beautiful waterfront areas filled with cafes' restaurants, nightclubs and bars. Public transport (or taxi) is a far easier option than trying to park in these highly popular areas.
A different bus will take you to MONA less than 4 kilometres away.
What to do in Hobart
The villa will have a full list of suggestions for an interesting stay depending on your personal interests and the ages of the guests. Special events (eg taste of Tasmania, festival of Voices, Dark MoFo etc) that are happening during your stay will also be detailed for you. The problem will be what to leave out unless you stay for an extended visit.

Drive up Mount Wellington at Twilight to see the magnificent views on the way up then stay until dark to see the city lights display. Or go daytime and visit the Mount Nelson Observatory Restaurant for lunch or dinner...yum...

Join Peppermint Cruises for an introduction to the beautiful Derwent River and see sea eagles and seals on your way to a leisurely lunch at Peppermint Bay...yum.. and then cruise back to Hobart.
Pack a picnic and go to Mount Field National park but make sure you have time to visit the salmon ponds on the way up and stop at the charming township of New Norfolk on the way back
visit MONA (museum of Old and New Art) and/or check out the Tasmanian museum and Art gallery
Book tickets for a show at the Theatre Royal, Playhouse Theatre DEC or at Wrest Point.
Do a day trip to Freycinet or Port Arthur.
Stroll our waterfront and enjoy a multitude of restaurants, coffee shops, bars or buy fish straight from the fishing boats.
