Annies Garden Cottage is a two story Cottage that sits within the grounds of a heritage listed 1905 home that is situated in Adelaide Street South Hobart Tasmania.
Located upstairs is a double bedroom, two single bedrooms and a bathroom and down stairs is a sitting room, laundry, powder room and kitchen.
The Cottage contains heritage features including an open fire place, ceiling rose and heritage light switches as well as antique furniture that provide you with the ambience of old world charm. It also contains modern amenities such as electrical heating and a fully equipped kitchen with oven top, fridge and microwave. Other amenities included are a washing machine, clothes line and ironing facilities to ensure that your stay is a relaxed and comfortable one.
The Cottage is light, airy and sunny and with its own front and back courtyard area where you can sit and enjoy a cuppa or a glass of wine, read a book or dine alfresco.
Nestled into the back of the garden and away from the street front, the Cottage is a safe and secure place to stay.
Within a five minute walk from Annie’s Garden Cottage you will find the local Delicatessen where you can purchase fresh produce and gourmet delights, Restaurants, Bakery, Cafés, Corner Store and News agency.
It is only a 15-20 minute walk to the City Centre shopping precinct, Historic Battery Point, Salamanca Place or the Hobart water front where you have the option to catch a ferry to Mona or simply enjoy the surrounding Cafés, Wine Bars, Galleries and Gift Shops.
Whilst a stroll in the direction of Mount Wellington will lead you to the beautiful Cascade Gardens, Brewery and the Historic Convict Female Factory.
A less than 10 minute drive will take you to the North Hobart Restaurant strip and the State Cinema.
The Cottage is also within close proximity to Bus stops.
For those with a vehicle, there is secure off street parking and easy access for day trips to surrounding beaches, wineries, cafés or a beautiful picturesque drive to places such Mount Wellington or the Dentrecasteaux Channel that will lead you to places such as the Bruny Island Ferry Terminal at Kettering or to Peppermint Bay. Whilst a trip to the stunning Huon Valley will lead you to places such as the Tahune AirWalk or Hastings Caves. Other popular tourist destinations such as Mona, Richmond and the Derwent Valley are within less than a 30 minute drive away.

The cottage has its own off street parking and the access gates at the Street frontage are closed each night for added security. Parking is provide free of charge.

The Cottage contains an open fireplace for use for those that like the ambiance of old world charm or perhaps even a little romance or simply just wanting to experience the cosy feeling of watching it glow. However, please note that if you intend to light a fire it must not be left unattended at any time day or night and that the fire must be put out and the screen placed in front of it prior to retiring at night.
