You can visit Hobart for the day, possibly on a Saturday to the Salamanca market, catch the car ferry to Bruny Island at Kettering which is 10 minutes away, cross the neck to see magnificent Adventure Bay and the lighthouse and come home to relax in complete privacy. This is like your own home, plenty of space to explore the garden and the woods adjacent.
