Russell House is a luxurious sanctuary in the heart of the Sandy Bay precinct and is situated on one level. It is conveniently located within easy walking distance to supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, shops, banks, sailing clubs, bowls club, rowing club, post office, University, Casino and public transport. The city and Salamanca Place are only a 20 minute walk away.
Russell House has recently been renovated to provide you with all modern comforts including new ducted heating/cooling and new white goods. Along with complimentary WIFI, library for holiday reading, and Bose Wave SoundTouch, we aim to provide you with an experience of complete comfort and leave you wanting for nothing. We also provide an extensive pillow menu to ensure a sound nights sleep.
Russell House caters for a maximum of eight guests with four bedrooms. Bedroom 1 and 2 have King Size beds. Bedroom 3 has one long single bed and a ottoman sofa bed, whilst Bedroom 4 has two long single beds. We also provide a secure two-car garage. The price includes linen, towels, tea and coffee provisions, toiletries and cleaning. A complimentary mid week service is included for all bookings 7 nights and over. A cot and highchair can be supplied at no additional cost. Please advise when you book.
We enjoy meeting our guests and offer you the opportunity to be greeted upon arrival. Closer to check in we will touch base with you so please let us know if you would like to be greeted and provided with a tour of Russell House. During your stay we are always available to offer any assistance.
Sandy Bay is a suburb of the city of Hobart and is located immediately south of the central business district, and adjourns the suburb of Battery Point. Sandy Bay has supermarkets, speciality shops, banks, gyms and a post office, everything you need at your fingertips. The bus stop is located within 500 metres.
As there are permanent residents above, a quiet period from 10.00pm must be observed and under no circumstances are there to be any parties or events held. We also wish to remind you Russell House is strictly a non-smoking house and you may smoke outdoors. A security bond of $750.00 applies.
Terms & Conditions
We have a minimum stay of 2 nights. Higher rates and a longer minimum night stay may apply during the holiday/festive season.
To secure your booking, a deposit of 50 per cent of your total accommodation fee is required. The balance of your payment will be charged to your credit card 28 days prior to your arrival date. By paying a deposit confirms you have read and agreed to our Terms and Conditions. Any damages and additional charges will be processed on the credit card provided. If a credit card is not provided, the $750.00 security bond will need to be paid in cash upon arrival.
We recommend that guest take out comprehensive travel insurance with a reputable insurance company to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. As per our cancellation policy, guests will be responsible for the full payment of accommodation fees in the event of a no show.
The owner does not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongs, baggage and vehicles during or after your stay. We do not accept liability for any injury, disruption caused and additional expenses caused directly or indirectly by an event, which are beyond our control which includes natural disasters.
Breakages and Damages
We would appreciate that Russell House is returned in the same condition as found. Any excessive cleaning or garbage removal will incur additional charges. Breakages or damages not caused by normal wear and tear will be charged to your credit card.
We understand your circumstances may change and you may need to cancel your booking. The following cancellation policy applies:
• If you cancel within 25 days prior to your arrival date, 50 of your accommodation fee will be deducted which constitutes your initial deposit.
• If you cancel within 14 days prior to your arrival date, there will be no refund of your accommodation fee.
• If there is a “no show” there will be no refund of your accommodation fee.
