Not like a hotel, you have access to the whole charming timber framed Cabin in the heart of South Hobart and is the perfect get away for those who really want a true Tassie experience.

Built over to two levels with all modern amenities it features:-

The native backdrop of the house has abundant wildlife at your doorstep and faces bush land. Wallabies will greet you every night and if you sit quietly enough come right up to your feet.

With all day sun the front of the house has a wrap around timber deck giving UNIQUE STUNNING VIEWS OF MOUNT WELLINGTON AND SOUTH HOBART creating a sense of being free, peaceful and private.

My personal favorite is watching the birds fly past and seeing how the Mountain changes from sunrise to sunset.

GUESS ACCESS:-

You have access to the WHOLE house as if it was your own.

PLEASE NOTE:- As it is perched on a hill top, you do have to walk up a small steep driveway, then three flights of stairs with railing to get to the front door.

The cabin is also on different levels e.g. a loft bedroom & stairs down to a spacious bathroom.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THOSE WHO DO NOT LIKE TO STAIRS OR HAVE MOBILE CHALLENGES.

HOWEVER:- Guests who have chosen to stay knowing the above found the house AMAZING. The frequent descriptions have been that it is like their own private little love-nest surrounded by nature, peaceful & relaxing.

For confident drivers you can park up the driveway or just out the front on the street. As it is a dead end street it is VERY QUIET & PRIVATE.

The neighborhood is very safe and friendly.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS:-

I am a people person by heart so can meet and greet showing you the house or you can choose to SELF CHECK IN which gives you more flexibility with your time of arrival. Either way I ALWAYS RESPECT YOUR PRIVACY after check in and will not disturb you unless you need my help etc.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:-

The neighborhood is charming and quiet.

I supply you with a map of what to see and do in the area plus where the shops are etc.

You are less that a 5 minute drive or casual 35 minute walk from the CBD yet feel like you are in your own private mountain retreat.

There are a several premium tourist attractions at your door step like The Cascade Brewery & Cascade Woman's Factory plus nice restaurants, shops & the famous Salad Bowl which is a mini supermarket selling quality Tasmanian food and wine products.

GETTING AROUND:-

By following the Rivulet you can stroll to the CBD in around 35 minutes, take the bus from the main road or less than 5 min drive to CBD.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:-

Set up for short or long term stay the house is modern and well equipped for all seasons with a new aircon/heat pump, washing machine, dish washer, microwave and linen.

The accommodation is essentially for two people.

This is a GREEN house meaning I use only environmentally safe cleaning products, provide a bin for compost scraps and encourage others to be mindful about power etc.

HOUSE RULES:-

I love this home and sharing it with you so ask you treat it with love/care etc.

Suited more for couples, please no parties and STRICTLY NO SMOKING.

CHECK IN TIMES:-

Check in time is preferably 2 pm and check out time is 10am. however I can be flexible.
