Stylish and private, Studio SixA is a gentle and easy twenty minute walk to the GPO and to the Hobart waterfront.
Built in 2010, Studio Six A sits under a canopy of 100 year old oak trees in a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by 19th century sandstone mansions. The open plan, self-contained studio apartment is located at the rear of the main house which has its own distinct heritage. Built in 1953, the house designed by Tasmanian architect Roderick Cooper was listed on the Register of the National Estate as ‘an accomplished and advanced Tasmanian example of the Post-War International Style c’.
The self contained studio apartment features blackout blinds, free wifi, a well-equipped kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave and cooktop, and a modern tiled bathroom with walk-in shower, rain shower head and luxurious bath towels and shower amenities. Tea and coffee facilities and start-up supplies are also provided.
A large private courtyard under a stunning oak tree canopy is available for the sole use of Studio SixA guests. The studio is connected to the National Broadband Network NBN and Wi-Fi is available in the studio and the courtyard.
Guests interested in booking the studio should be aware that two short sets of steps through the garden to access the property might restrict people with mobility difficulties.
