Surrounded by pretty manicured gardens and a tranquil environment, the Veg Retreat is close to all the Mornington Peninsula wineries, beaches and national parks.
But before we go any further, it’s not for everyone.
The owners of the Veg Retreat welcome vegetarians, vegans and those who are prepared to give it a go at least for the duration of their stay. No meat is permitted to be cooked or kept on the property. This includes chicken, fish, shellfish, salami ham etc. It’s all meat.
Why? Because eating animal products is bad for your health, bad for the environment and bad for the animals.
The veg retreat is located 2kms from Arthurs Seat and only one hours drive from Melbourne. It’s only a 5 min drive to Dromana beach, 10 min drive to Flinders and is surrounded by lovely rolling hills. A perfect place to relax amongst the flaura and fauna.
The open plan kitchen and living area is large with an open fire place and there’s always plenty of firewood to keep you warm.
The house itself has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people.
Bedrooms are well appointed with modern furnishings and very comfortable beds. The third bedroom doubles up as a kids retreat complete with television and a Playstation.
An additional double bedroom and ensuite is also available for an additional cost. For further details, contact the owners.
'No meat' policy
Please note: Patrons are reminded of the strict ‘no meat’ policy. A minimium charge of $300.00 will be charged for cleaning should there be any evidence of animal products being on the property.
