The Lakehouse is a 4 bedroom home, accommodating 8 guests, with both indoor and outdoor relaxation and entertaining areas. The living room overlooks and the lake and is bisected by a central fireplace. The master bedroom cantilevers above the water and looks out onto the lake s jetty. Curl up on the sofa winter or summer and watch the never-ending theatre provided by the ducks, cormorants and cockatoos. Watch the weather dance through the willows. The Lake s white sand beach enables swimming and kayaking or just a restful spot to doze in a hammock.

The interior is presented in a luxurious modernist tone paying heed to its rural context. Furnishings are predominantly Italian and Scandinavian, with B&B Italia couches and coffee tables. Hans Wegner and Thonet chairs. Bathrooms and Kitchen are presented in exquisite dark marble. Flooring is native tallowood. Curtains are viennese linen and pendant light fittings are by Tom Dixon. The building itself is made from teak and it is designed to naturally cross ventilate.
The Lakehouse features a collection of contemporary Australian art, ranging from photography by Bill Hensen and Jane Burton to paintings by Adam Cullen and Matthew Johnston.

The Peninsula offers a broad range of easily accessed activities. Somers beach is an easy 10 minute drive, whilst award winning vineyards and their wonderful restaurants, cafes and cellar doors are dotted along the nearby backroads. Other activities such as Peninsula Hot Springs, The Enchanted Maze, Surf beaches or just pick one of the nearby Golf courses for a spot of golf. Terrific ways to spend an active afternoon.
Whilst the Lakehouse is a paradise for children and adults alike, please note that the lake is not fenced and guests must acknowledge that they will not leave children unsupervised with access to the lake.
