Absolutely no prejudice for those who demand quality contemporary living and be proud of your choice. Pride and Prejudice is a fabulous Port Douglas inspired house with an emphasis on indoor/outdoor living. This property which sits on the Flinders golf course and a short walk to the sea has been designed to open the entire upper living level to the outside world. When you combine the already large dimensions of the very smart open plan living area with caf doors to both the front and rear outdoor living area - the size, the space and the comfort is magnified 2 or 3 fold What is evident is the sensation and ambience of being somewhere sub tropical where you can feel the breeze and smell the sea air from anywhere in the property. Pride and Prejudice is a superb property that is a fantastic getaway regardless of whether you are a couple who just simply want to luxuriate in the space or whether you are 4 or 5 couples wanting some up-market entertaining. It is simply perfect The other important feature is the fact that Pride and Prejudice is fabulous all year round. Coupled with the open fire both in the upstairs living and the family room downstairs is the northerly position and the extensive use of glass. This allows a beautiful warm ambience in the cooler months.
Living and Dining
Aside from a double bedroom, the upper level really is dedicated to living. Again the proportions of this space are huge. The open plan design is not only fabulous but incredibly functional. The reconstituted stone kitchen is elevated by one step and is an inspiring chefs delight. There is ample room to create with the European appliances. A large breakfast bar is the perfect place for you to gather and enjoy a drink and to keep the chef entertained. The 10 seat dining table is adjacent to an entire wall of caf doors that open on to a large deck with inbuilt BBQ, outdoor self draining wine and beer insulated cooler draws - which just require you to add ice, and a large lounge seating area. It effectively means that you can eat or cook both indoor and out. One cannot overstate this terrific feature it really is inspired by the tropics At the opposite end of the living zone are large sumptuous lounges, more caf doors and a superb outlook to the golf course with glimpses of the water. A very easy stroll to some spectacular coastline and to the gorgeous village On the lower level is a family room that has a modular lounge, TV, open fire and again a large under covered deck. A perfect place to gain segregation from the kids or a place to watch some sports on TV The family room also comes with a wet bar so its very likely many will end up here
Bed and Bath
There are 5 bedrooms at Pride and Prejudice and the property very comfortably accommodates 5 couples. On the lower level is the Master suite which really is gorgeous It has a king size bed with TV, an absolutely oversized ensuite with a separate spa bath that overlooks its very own private courtyard This suite is a haven. For those inclined the courtyard has an outdoor shower with both hot and cold water. On the lower level you will also find 3 queen rooms and a central bathroom and toilet. On the upper level is another double bedded room and a single bunk, which is slightly open plan from the upstairs living area, offers access to the rear deck and of course, a beautiful outlook. Pride and Prejudice is truly a fabulous property and of course has the style and beauty of being in the upmarket Flinders. How gorgeous having access to all the peninsulas beaches, wine, golf, hot springs and the Sorrento strip yet being privately tucked away in your own oasis. Stunning

'"Great location close to everything with wondeful facilities for large groups" Pauline,June 2016
"Very comfortable & well appointed. Very suitable for our group of four adult couples." Jacqui & Mike, July 2012
"We very much enjoyed our stay at Pride and Prejudice it is a lovely home and very well appointed with a lovely aspect across the golf course and within walking distance of the main street. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beds/pillows and linen; the range and quality of cookware and appliances as well as glassware and crockery. The house has large bedrooms, bathrooms and numerous decks and outdoor areas so it can easily accommodate families and couples without feeling cramped or on top of each other. The large living room and dining area is comfortable and the open fireplace and furnishings make it very cosy. During our stay there was a family of four kookaburras that would regularly come and sit on the back deck and were happy to be hand fed such a lovely bonus and surprise It felt more like a home than a holiday let and I would highly recommend it to families and groups."
