Let your troubles melt like lemon drops in the beautiful holiday hamlet of Sorrento
A picturesque 90-minute drive from Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula, Sorrento has long been a favourite destination for Victorians heading away to the beach. Sorrento Beach Hideaway is ideally positioned between the ocean and the bay. In just 10-15 minutes you can walk to invigorating ocean back beaches, poke around in the rock pools at low tide, watch the sun set from iconic Coppins Lookout, or be calmed by the azure-blue waters and protected white sandy beaches of Port Phillip Bay.
Enjoy your own private hideaway set amongst towering gum trees in this peaceful Sorrento oasis. This modern, light-filled and well-maintained two-storey weatherboard home offers a relaxing place to unwind from the hustle of the beach and bustle of the shops. Leave your car and take a short walk to the vibrant shopping strip of Sorrento township - with boutique clothing stores, great cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, gourmet grocers, a post office, the Sorrento hotels and bottle shops at your doorstep
Sorrento Beach Hideaway offers both formal and informal living spaces which move effortlessly from inside to outdoor alfresco eating areas. Enjoy the morning sunshine as you drink your coffee and eat your eggs while digesting the complimentary morning paper from the eastern deck. Or take your brunch and enjoy a lazy lunch out onto the north facing deck, under the shade of the sails. The decks can be enjoyed in all seasons - with sun beds for summertime relaxing and even a hammock for a shady retreat under the gum tree with a magazine or book.
The kitchen is in a spacious and light-filled atrium with an eastern orientation complete with a large oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, cook-top, pantry and a wide range of cooking equipment and utensils.
The house has two main living areas, which offer more formal and informal spaces to enjoy. There is a large dining table set with 8 chairs adjacent to the kitchen and a comfy couch with access to a flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod and iPhone dock to enjoy your own music selections.
The dining room also offers seating for 8 around a beautiful timber table with leather chairs. There is an upright piano tucked under the stairs. The main lounge offers a large flat screen TV and BOSE music system and a gas log fire. Three large couches offer a relaxing place to unwind and mingle. Or retreat to the north-facing deck which allows you to enjoy lazy summer meals and warm balmy evenings under the stars.
