This recently completed two bedroom cottage has been designed for sea-side relaxation, comfort and convenience for couples and families. It is a base from which to enjoy a day at the beach, a picnic in the Otway National Park, a coffee or meal looking out to sea or some fishing from the pier. It is within walking distance of the patrolled surf beach, shops, and all the leisure facilities Lorne has to offer. Children enjoy the playground in the reserve next to the beach, the skate park and mini-golf. A walk to the swing-bridge and time to run as far as they like along the sandy beach. Exploring the rock pools is a favourites as well. The picture theatre provides films suitable for all ages in the holiday season. It is a short car trip to walking tracks to the waterfalls and picnic grounds in the rainforest, as well as local art exhibitions and wineries.
Bay Haven was completed late 2014, rebuilt on the site of the original bungalow which had always been on the property with the holiday house owned by the same family for 45 years. They wish to offer a hospitable welcome as they manage Bay Haven on site. Families with small children are welcome and a cot and a booster seat are available. Lorne has all the amenities needed for a safe and peaceful holiday with ample shopping, restaurants and hotels, a medical centre and hospital with Emergency department, Police Station, Country Fire Authority, Surf Lifesaving Club, an Anglican/Uniting Church and a Catholic Church.
