A beautiful, renovated farmhouse set among 30 carefully-tended acres of rolling fields and rainforest, yet only 12 minutes from the beach. The house is a cosy escape for two or extremely comfortable for up to eight; and dogs are welcome.
“Wow what an amazing place – our stay was perfect. This house is so well-equipped and we couldn’t fault it, My boys loved the bunk beds, the piano, the little blue chair and the outdoor games.” 15.2.2014.
Arlington is the perfect antidote to busy city life. Clearly-marked pathways cross the paddocks, snake through the gullies and weave around the three spring-fed dams. David Attenborough would have a field day: mobs of kangaroos, platypus and trout in the dam, parrots to feed and glow worms metres from the front door.
“This place is so magical and so peaceful! We sat on the verandah just listening to and watching the bird life – what a way to live!” 12.7.2014
The house was built from local timber and has polished floorboards, a large kitchen and digital TV. It has a very homely feel and remains cool in summer, toasty warm in winter with a wood heater, reverse cycle heater and of course electric blankets. It sits in a mature garden, bursting with flowers and shrubs.
