The living spaces have been designed to be elevated into the tree canopy, with views from the Living and Dining spaces of ‘The Point’. A central deck opens to a wet fern-filled gully separating the Master Bedroom and Ensuite from the main wing while also providing magnificent views. The home features 2 additional Bedrooms and central Bathroom, with Laundry and formal Entry below.
Features include low and high level windows within the Living, Dining and Master Bedroom spaces which allow East light to fill these spaces while providing a view into the base of the forest, and foliage above, the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway.
The property has a concrete sealed driveway to the front door entrance and a Dumb Waiter Lift to easily transport luggage and groceries to the upper level, a truly unique feature of the property. Private and tranquil, the house is situated right next to a creek which runs in winter - keep an eye out for glow worms along the banks at night time The area itself boasts an abundance of local wildlife – some will even come to the front deck for a visit. Look out for koalas, kookaburras, king parrots and kangaroos to name a few. Southern Right whales visit the region from May to October with regular sightings along the coast.

Other Things to Note:
We ask that guests please keep water usage to a minimum. All properties in Wye River rely on tank water which is safe to drink but you may prefer to BYO drinking water.
The roads in Wye River are narrow and the driveways are steep so please take care when driving and walking. The roads are also mostly unsealed gravel but are suitable for 2-wheel drive.

There is an abundance of local wildlife, some will even come for visit on the front deck Look out for local koalas, kookaburras, king parrots, kangaroos and more. Southern Right Whales visit the region from May to October with regular sightings along the coast. Spot glow-worms by night at nearby Grey River Picnic Ground for a truly magical experience.
Wye River is nestled in the foothills of the Otway Ranges and surrounded by the Great Otway National Park where you can choose from a number of beautiful rainforest and waterfall walks.
The house itself is only a 10-15 min walk to the beach and local "Wye General" store which serves fabulous food and coffee everyday. The closest shops and restaurants are located at Lorne and Apollo Bay.
