If you find something similar let me know, because I'll be most surprised. The property is, quite simply, unique, to have such views, ocean, lake and forest, such direct lake access along 700m of frontage, no passing traffic with a stunning architect designed residence. Great birdlife and animals. And you're not restricted by being on an island, you're not locked in. Just 12 mins drive from Lakes Entrance to your own peninsula, to a property that surprises and amazes all.

Peace, tranquility, beauty. Largely unknown to even the locals. Very secluded, at the end of a track. Half surrounded by lake, no passing car traffic. Wombats, kangaroos, echidnas, sea eagles and other amazing birdlife, are common on the property. Even the occasional emu and deer.

See the occasional whale, in the ocean, in the distance. We've seen a few.

This is a lovely bush environment with amazing views. Be careful of snakes, and always keep the doors of the house closed to keep out the amazing birdlife, goannas, any rodents, flies, etc. Once a lorikeet flew in, only because we left the door open for it by mistake.

This is a superb environment, every time I'm there I'm amazed by it. I'd like to share it with you.

There are well established native gardens, probably some 100 fruit trees and bushes we haven't counted and just a great place TO BE. The property is pet friendly, 1 maximum, and subject to negotiation. We have an outdoor enclosure that is suitable and can provide a kennel. In door pets may be considered, again, by negotiation.


A comfortable 3.5 hour drive East of Melbourne or 5 hours South South West of Canberra lies the vastly unspoilt natural beauties of Lake Tyers.

Reputedly one of the cleanest and naturally pristine lakes in Australia, largely as a result of its forested catchment area. The fish are plentiful as are the birds and wildlife and the air is fresh and invigorating. The commercial fishing licences were cancelled some years ago now, approx 2006, and as result fish are plentiful.

The property is off the main track and was carefully selected because of its unique lakeside position with water on two sides and views over the lake to sand dunes and ocean beyond.

This very private sanctuary of 23 acres comprising architecturally designed residence, separate cottage, for rental by separate negotiation shedding not for rental and abundant self contained water supply has a cleared central corridor which has been planted out with a mixture of fruit trees and native vegetation whilst the perimeters of the property are lightly forested with easy access to the lake and with more than 700 metres of lake frontage including a sandy beach area.

The three bedroom home has been built and designed to capture the magnificent lake and ocean views and you can watch the sun and moon rise. These rises can be absolutely spectacular.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Views and gardens Whilst the property is great the presentation of the house need big improvements, too many personal property items left from the owner of the property. Was not given the choice of the 3 bedrooms, only the bottom level rooms made up with the top floor left bare, reason given as it was hotter than the other rooms, which was a shame as it had the best views to wake up to. It got cooler over the week so we did it ourselves however. No sitting furniture upstairs to enjoy the stunning scenery. Has a reverse cycle air conditioner which you can't use as no remote, a bit strange that. Had to ask to get a gas bottle so could use the outdoor BBQ, a standard inclusion for a property at this price. Draws, cupboards and wardrobes full of junk so could not put in your own clothes for the stay. Has a grand piano in the pictures but you can't use it as it is locked, why bother having it there. TV audio system to complex, keep it simple. While the view and property in general is great, that alone does not justify the high cost of the rental. It's the small things that make a truely memorable stay and sadly this place lacks those. A lot of work needed by the owner to get this place up to holiday rental standard. One plus is the many fruit trees which you could pick as needed. We chose this place not only for the great location but because it was offered as pet friendly, it wasn't! There is no secure yard area.
