Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great house and our dogs loved it! This house was AMAZING- It's in a fantastic location (near lake & shops) and really had the wow factor. I stayed here with my husband, teenage daughter and 2 dogs but the house could comfortably sleep large families. Our favourite part was definitely spending time in front of the open fireplace on the huge balcony overlooking the lake. Some of the other perks included; sound system, DVDs on offer and pool table. We will stay here again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great house and view! Great place with a real wow factor once you step out onto the balcony. Everything has been thought of and we were amazed by the array of cooking utensils and plates in the cupboard! Great kitchen to cook with a view and having that beautiful afternoon sea breeze blowing in was magnificent. Our dogs had a great time and already miss their daily swim and bask in the sunny backyard. With the lake just across the road and great walking tracks, we can recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away with the pooches. Ps. If the couch had fitted in the car, it would have been ours ;-p

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great House for large groups We loved our stay at the Lake street Escape, just sitting on the verandah watching the lake was tranquil and just what we needed. We also loved the games area down stairs. It was an easy walk to the supermarket and pier and the lake is just across the road.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great place for a holiday! For thirteen people and a dog, this place was simply perfect. There was plenty of room for everyone to comfortably enjoy their stay and the house was extremely clean which led to us having a wonderful time. For the kids, the pool and table tennis tables were a great way to spend their time and having the beach just on the other side of the road made it just that much more enjoyable. All in all, the property was clean, it was comfortable and had a great location that allowed for a relaxing holiday.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A much needed escape from reality! A group of us consisting of 7 adults and 4 children were looking for a place that would not only accommodate our size but also suit the needs of the different ages within our group, and we found that at Lake Street Escape. The kids were delighted to see the variety of recreational games on offer, and one of my personal favourite moments would be watching some of the adults teaching the eager children how to play pool. I also gained a lot of joy from watching the fun that the children under 5 years old found in playing with the dress ups, food and kitchen items, dollhouse, books, and board games. This was an unexpected but well received set up. As previously mention, the space was a big deciding factor for us and Lake Street Escape looked like it was spacious enough for our group but we didn’t realise how large it was until we got there! This meant the kids had plenty of room to run around and the adults had plenty of room to spend with each other or enjoy some time alone such as on the balcony. Sitting on the couch on the balcony was a nice way to enjoy the view of the beautiful sunset, the peaceful lake, and not to mention the ‘busy’ lake featuring people jet skiing or kayaking and people walking by who were more often than not, friendly. Also on the balcony, we made use of the BBQ for dinner one night. Lake street escape is well equipped with all the appliances you could ever need. One thing that we did not get to do use was the karaoke machine after we discovered it did not have any batteries. We have learned that we must carry batteries with us next time just in case! In terms of shops near by, there is a pretty decent fish and chips shop about 10 min walk away and if you require any other supplies such as toilet paper or mossie repellant or outdoor coil which is what we needed, then there is a small supermarket only 5 mins walk from Lake Street Escape. There is also a general store within walking distance but this store along with the supermarket closes early so it’s best to keep that mind. Lake Street Escape overlooks a river, which is easy to access, all you need to do is walk across the house and you’re there! There is a nice and low walking and bike path that was something we took full advantage of. Children and adults alike enjoyed riding during all times of the day. There is also a park near by and BBQ facilities too. Plus, there was no shortage of beaches we could visit by car, and we had a fun time driving around in the local national park, as well as exploring some parts of the park by foot. My family & I had a wonderful and relaxing time, and therefore cannot fault our stay however, there are some things to consider should you decide on Lake Street Escape such as the mosquitos, you’ll need to prepare with repellant, outdoor coil, and wear clothing that covers your arms and legs. If you need supplies, the shops near by is adequate but closes earlier than you’d expect. We highly recommended this place if you want something family friendly, if you enjoy a nice stroll along the lake, or even a jog, bike riding, friendly locals, and the overall peaceful, quiet town. We would like to thank Jenni and Nick for their excellent communication from start to end. It was a lovely escape from reality! Kudos to my partner (Michael) too, for finding this great place, it is a talent of his that we all appreciate!
