A charming and truly authentic miner's cottage, Trewins was built around the 1860's after the land was first sold by the Government, and Trewins has been both permanent and holiday rental accommodation for over 150 years. Step into the cottage and step back in time. With very little change to the footprint, the cottage has maintained its originality for the most part, offering a rustic and simple stay for guests wanting to experience a bygone era.
The kitchenette is basic with a hot plate and microwave, kettle and toaster so fine for simple fare but not for 3 course meals. The bathroom has an old fashioned shower, a toilet and vanity but there is a hairdryer - still some modern necessities sitting comfortably alongside old fashioned charm.
The living room is warmed by the open fire there are also heaters and the two bedrooms include a queen bed and a double bed. There are no doors on the bedrooms, simply a curtain for privacy. You can curl up on the sofa in the sunroom and pick a book or a board game from the library or sit outside on the brick patio and enjoy the sunshine and the cottage garden.
