Houlet House is the perfect base for a small group of friends, a family gathering or 3 couples. The beauty of this cottage is there are 3 main bedrooms so no couple gets the short straw. Another bonus is Houlet's proximity to the Daylesford township, walking distance to the cafes and restaurants, shops and galleries and not far from the Mill Market. Just a few minutes walk or a 30 second drive, and you are there. Alternatively take a different route and you will find yourself enjoying the great walk around Lake Daylesford.
The bedrooms are a good size (if you want room for the portacot, Houlet works well). There is an "ozzy" farm style kitchen and dining room plus there is a separate formal living room at the other end of the house. There is a split heating and cooling system and gas heaters to ensure all year round comfort and good sized wardrobes in all the bedrooms offer plenty of room for storage.
There is a newly renovated bathroom with a shower and separate toilet and the kitchen leads to an elevated deck where a gas BBQ and outdoor setting provides an alternative to kitchen cooking. The garden is very large, great for kicking a ball around, and there is plenty of off street parking down the side of the house and around the back. A well behaved dog is welcome, however, the garden is not fully fenced so care for the pet is totally your responsibility.
A complimentary breakfast starter is provided to guests who have booked 2 nights or more. We also supply tea, coffee, milk and sugar to all guests. All linen and soap is provided (bedroom, bathroom and kitchen). All you need to bring are your personal belongings, food and beverage
