Modern comfort with whimsical rustic elements create an inviting atmosphere in the relaxed luxury of space, design and texture.
Crows Nest was created by the founder of Neometro, Barry Ludlow and designer Renata Kane.
Nestled under giant Douglas Fir trees planted around 1860, high on Wombat Hill, walking distance to the gourmet restaurants , casual eateries and eclectic shops of Daylesford.
Crows Nest offers a peaceful retreat for a couple looking for a relaxing getaway in style and was named as an homage to Jim Crow whose presence is noted in the history books of the precinct.
We stumbled upon a series of Crows designed by French designer Benoit Convers for an exhibition in Paris. We made the surreal connection with Crows Nest and now Adam the Crow will greet you as he is suspended majestically from the vaulted timber ceiling.
Crows Nest is annexed to Hardwood House and shares the same design estetic
The feel of Crows Nest is achieved by the use a modest pared back design approach which is inviting and inspiring with it's solid and simple volumes. Barry and Renata wanted to express Crows Nest character in a most humble way creating architecture so simple, that it belongs as much to the past as to the future.
