Description

There's something special about staying on a vineyard. It could be the romance of the earth, the fresh air or even the changing seasons. But there IS something special, and it's only 45 minutes from Melbourne and 50 minutes from Daylesford. The mysterious Hanging Rock is just 15 minutes away along with the stately Mount Macedon.

Gisborne Peak Winery offers 4 self-contained Cottages. Each cottage sleeps 2 adults for that perfect adult getaway in a Queen Size bed format. Each cottage has a living area, kitchenette and separate bedroom. The large ensuite has a separate toilet area.

Your stay always includes full breakfast provisions in your cottage on arrival. You can sleep in and have brunch or cook an early breakfast and get out sight-seeing.

For couples only. Not suitable for children or pets, sorry.

There are 4 cottages, each sleeping two adults. Each cottage features a queen size bed, luxury fit-outs, LCD TV's, DVD Player, CD Player and in-house DVD's and CD's, iPod docking station, micro-wave, toasters, electric fry-pan, hair dryers and outdoor BBQ's.

The outdoor decks are made for relaxing with a glass of our Gisborne Peak Winery estate grown wine. The gardens are planted totally to Australian and local Indigenous plants, which are botanically identified on name plates. There are some rare species of plants to discover.

The winery cellar door is every day except Good Friday and Christmas Day featuring wine tastings everyday and delicious wood-fired pizzas daily. Open daytime only. For dinner we suggest bringing something for the BBQ or electric frypan or go into Gisborne 7 km away or Sunbury 12 km away.

The cottages at Gisborne Peak Winery are a revolutionary development utilizing environmentally sustainable modular buildings. To complement the building design, the cottages use renewable energy resources as their main power supply. A creative system of solar panels, a small wind turbine and a back-up diesel generator complete the trio of innovative, sustainable energy.

Combine these with the time honoured art of grape growing, producing quality grapes to make excellent wine and the result is a synergy of the sun, the earth, the rain and the wind to make a most pure, one-with-nature experience.

Fancy a round of golf? The Gisborne Golf Course with its' resident 500 kangaroos is a highly rated course and only 7 minutes away.

So close to Melbourne, yet so far away.
