The Bales resides on two beautiful treed acres, framed by open farmland, an avenue of mature pines and a wonderful dam. The architect-designed home, partly constructed of rendered straw bales and recycled timbers and sandstone, is ideal for two families or a group of 8 friends. The property's unique atmosphere suits ceremonial occasions, where bridal parties or the groom's family can be accommodated on the weekend of your wedding in town or nearby in the region.
Three bedrooms comprise a huge master suite with king bed and ensuite, queen bedroom, and double bunk room. A second bathroom includes a bath with shower. Two living areas with soaring windows, each with TVs and fires, allow plenty of space to spread out. Indoor entertainment includes a PlayStation 3 and music iDevice dock. A pool table with cues and balls provides entertainment in the second living area. The open plan kitchen features a large fridge, breakfast bar, double oven, coffee machine (and Nespresso capsules), slow cooker and all the usual appliances and more. Teas, coffee, sugar and basic cooking ingredients are provided for your convenience.
The grounded feeling of luxury and comfort of the architecture is complimented by attention to the little things: coffee machine, built fires ready to light on arrival, the softest blankets on every bed, quality towels and linen for your comfort, and a well-equipped kitchen.
A substantial north-east deck facing the dam and garden is perfect for your morning tea in the sun while you watch the children explore the cubby, playground and the trampoline under the trees. Enjoy a meal outdoors or a sundowner, when you might spot the family of grey wallabies that graze in the gathering dusk. A gas barbecue on the deck will feed the hordes.
