This very charming 2 bedroom Country Style 1920’s House is located in a quiet street in Gardenvale just a very short distance from Brighton and Elsternwick.

Very clean and comfortable single level house complete with secluded outdoor area and native gardens.

Your own Off Street Parking conveniently located in your own driveway.

No stairs to climb or lifts to navigate.

This house is cleaned professionally after every guest stay!

The house has 2 Bedrooms, one with a Queen bed the other with 2 single beds. All Linen and towels are supplied.

A relaxing Lounge room with TV and Stereo. Plus a separate large light filled Study with a selection of books and kids games and toys.

A fully equipped kitchen and separate laundry with washing machine and dryer. An extra toilet is located in the laundry for your convenience.

You have the choice of relaxing on the verandah overlooking the lovely native garden or maybe a BBQ in the rear courtyard. Kids can play safely in the large secure backyard.

We pride ourselves in being a very clean and comfortable home style property.

GARDENVALE STATION - Trains direct to the city on the Sandringham line will get you there in about 15 minutes.

Airport Bus stops minutes away. (Frankston and Peninsula Airport Shuttle FAPAS)


Just a short stroll will take you to a lovely bunch of shops in Martin Street.

Many great cafes, fish and chips, bakeries, restaurants, boutique shopping, a very good Op Shop, supermarket, news agency and butcher. Also you can pick up fresh fruit and vegetables at a local grocer.

Omar and the Marvellous Coffee Bird is located on our street corner so you can pop down for breakfast and fabulous coffee to kick start your day.

Brighton Beach is approximately about a 3-5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away.


At the cottage there is a secure outdoor space for the kids to relax or play in the sunshine.

Leafy Gardenvale Park is a short stroll away.

Excellent playground and space to run around. Suits all ages.

Gardenvale is Melbourne's smallest suburb but it is so close to Elsternwick, Elwood, Brighton, Ormond and various other villages that you will never run out of things to do in the area.


It's just 6 minutes to Elsternwick and Brighton Golf Courses or 16 minutes to the Royal Melbourne Golf Course. Tennis Courts are a 5 minute drive away.

Getting to Major sporting events like the soccer, football, rugby, tennis or cricket is just a short 10 minute train ride to Richmond Station and walk to the MCG.

To get to Etihad Stadium it takes 15 minutes to Southern Cross Station then a walk to the Stadium - it's that easy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic stay We had an excellent stay at Gardenvale Cottages. It was a lovely house with everything we needed, and is obviously lovingly looked after by the owners. The location was great - easy access to public transport and shops. The kids (aged 3 and 5) loved it - thank you for providing the toys! We'd definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone looking for family friendly accommodation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent property We stayed for 3 days to attend a family event. The property was clean, well provisioned and handily located. Despite being so close to the Nepean highway (and therefore, handy) it was also very quiet. We recommend this property and would stay again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A home away from home We had a lovely stay, the cottage was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was well appointed, everything you need to make meals. It was terrific to have the outdoor line area undercover. The hosts were fabulous leaving us fruit, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, everything to get you started. There is an amazing café just on the corner literally 2 mins walk away. Just across the road are more café's shops & a supermarket, so convenient. I like to jog in the early morning, this was a great neighbourhood to take a jog around, really safe. Great communication with the hosts at all times, made it so easy to get straight into the cottage & start our holiday. Thanks so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely cottage Gardenvale Cottage is a lovely place to stay for a visit to Melbourne. It's a neat and tidy house suitable for families with small and bigger kids. It is fully equipped with everything you could need or want. The kitchen was well provisioned and the house had lots of games and books to keep everyone entertained. The queen bed was very comfortable - the singles not so much, but fine for children. The location was great for those not wanting to be too close to the city - plenty of shops, eateries (the cafe on the corner is worth a visit) and a train station nearby. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home away from home Gardenvale Cottage is a lovely place to stay in which we immediately felt at home. Besides the lovely decor, everything worked, and Katie is a kind, friendly host. Great coffee cafe at the corner, shops and beach within walking distance. Very convenient train access to central Melbourne. Was ideal for our family of 4.
