Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible, terrible, terrible We had booked a stay for 6 early Feb to stay 23 March. Booking was confirmed and was told I would have a queen bed, 2 singles and a fold out sofa. On 23 Feb I received a call regarding my booking for that day?? I call back, they said they made a mistake and will have us as requested.. I call 22 March as no confirmation received - they tell me I don’t have a booking, after allot of back and forth they said okay they found it and all okay for our stay (In the meantime they had hung up on me 3 times) . There was no formal communication around how to check in or where to go all over the phone Check in processes was so unprofessional, they were very rude. They said I hadn’t paid – I provided Stayz receipts to show, we paid parking $30 and finally received keys to head up to the apartment. The apartment was grimy, stains on the couch, and grease on cupboards. We only had 2 singles and 1 queen (no fold out as promised) and only 4 towels, WE booked and PAID for 6 Overall was a nasty experience, I will not return and would not recommend this place to anyone!

In the few weeks prior to my booking I tried on several occasions to contact Zenith Serviced Apartments via three different phone numbers and also via email. Phone calls did not get answered or returned. If on the very odd occasion the call was answered, the call would ‘drop out’. Emails were not responded to either. I was not sent any information on how or where to collect keys from. Upon arrival I was informed that the building at 889 Collins Street is a residential building and to contact the property manager to organise check in. I again called the three numbers I had for Zenith, none of which were answered. A lady walked into the building and i was told that she is an employee with Zenith and would be able to assist me. She gave me a set of keys in the foyer and left me to make my way to the apartment. Upon entry to the apartment it was immediately apparent that it had not been cleaned at all. Beds had been slept in with head prints in pillows still and hair on the pillows and sheets. General rubbish under the beds. Muddy footprints in the shower. Dirty toilet. Puddle of oil on the stovetop as well as splattered on everything around it. Fridge dirty. Bins full of rubbish. Benches, tables and floors covered in crumbs etc. Sticky patches on floors. Walls covered in scuff marks and dints. After going back to the lobby and asking where Zenith check ins happen I made my way to their ‘reception area’ that is run out of an apartment at the back of the building, no signs etc. I was told by staff that the room could be cleaned the next morning. I explained that was not good enough as the room was not clean or hygienic for guests to be staying in, I needed the room cleaned immediately or to be checked into another room. I was then ignored by the staff for a period of time. The ‘property manager’ arrived and was extremely rude and arrogant, not letting me speak and yelling at me. While waiting there was also two other guests come back complaining that their rooms had not been cleaned either. I waited for over 2 hours before he would address the issue. Finally I was offered another room only to find that it had not been cleaned either. I called the reception and asked for the room to be cleaned, which luckily did happen. After arriving to check in at 2:30pm it was after 6:30pm before I had a clean room to stay in. The time it took for other guests to be checked in was also very excessive. Overall an absolute nightmare! During the process, I also contacted Stayz and was informed they could not do anything to help me as they are just a booking platform.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible experience! The worst stayz experience! Started off with the owners being in an argument with police in the front reception. They were rude to us and took 1.5 hours to check us in! Parking is $30 per night and we got a fob that did not work. Apartment is small and filthy. Carpets not vacuumed (with previous customers hair still there), heavily stained, kitchen table/bench/stove not wiped down and bins not emptied. There was no hairdryer or ironing board supplied and bedding is underwhelming (top sheet for one bed used as the bottom sheet for another). In general mirrors and walls had not been wiped down for scuff marks and finger prints. I would not recommend this property at all!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BOOK WORST EXPERIENCE EVER Worst service ever!!! False advertising and apartment was sooo small! I knew something was up when I asked for a confirmation email and got misleading information, hung up on once and muted another call. I was told I had to pay an extra $30 an hour to come in earlier then 3pm and $30 for parking. I stated on the phone to a man I will be there at 1 and they had us waiting in the foyer until 2.30!!! They tried to claim we didn’t pay bond at first. Finally we paid extra money and signed a disclaimer which said we would have to wait 2-3 weeks to get our bond back and got given one set of keys to let us up to our level (4 out of 30+ levels). I paid extra for 7 people and the place only supplied enough beds to fit 4 people! You wouldn’t believe after calling them up they told us the couch folds out into a bed, and they will supply a BLOW UP MATTRESS?! The couch was broken and wouldn’t pull out and was flimsy and so unsafe to sleep on, and the mattress deflated as it had a hole in it! No sheets were provided for the fold out bed and no linen or blanket at all was provided for the air mattress. The place was filthy! The floors were dirty, walls had marks and scruffs all over them. There was hair on the bed, and a dirty nappy in the bin which wasn’t emptied. Only 2 towels for 7 people, barely any cutlery, didn’t supply anything as listed such as a hairdryer, ironing board, toaster. The fridge didn’t work. The TV had sound and no pictures. They didn’t supply a remote for the aircon and when we turned it on it blew out warm air. The place was tiny! Nothing like ANY of the photos provided on the site!
