Stay in the absolute centre of Melbourne, but hidden down a quiet and quirky laneway in this comfortable, near new, freshly painted and very chic designer apartment. Steps from the free tram ride from the Skybus drop off, very close to the Bourke Street Mall Melbourne's central shopping precinct and at the Paris End of the CBD, with theatres, fine dining, cafés, and China Town all within easy walking distance.
There are plenty of clean towels, body and hand wash, and shampoo and conditioner for you to use, plus a cabinet full of toothpaste, makeup remover, moisturiser, some hair products, tampons, condoms, etc, in case you've forgotten an essential.
The kitchen has everything you'll want for cooking meals; a full sized oven, black glass cooktop, single drawer dishwasher, rice cooker, microwave, full sized fridge, pots and pans, utensils, and a pantry with some staples. Don't plan too much cooking though - you're staying in the middle of Melbourne
There is a Nespresso coffee machine and pods, a brimming bowl of coffee sachets, tea bags, hot chocolate chai, etc, on the bench, some cereals and snacks in the pantry, and fresh milk, butter, filtered water and a sneaky wine in the fridge.
Please note the bed configuration is one Miracoil pillow top queen sized bed in the separate bedroom. Third and forth guests sleep on the long couch, and/or the raised air-bed, which will be made up for you with quality linen, donnas, etc. If you are a twosome and require separate beds please contact us for pricing.
This apartment is just off Bourke Street, a few steps from The Bourke Street Mall, Melbourne's historic and premier shopping precinct. You can walk through Myer and David Jones, and follow the continuous arcades through Emporium, Melbourne Central and QV shopping centres. China Town is half a block away, The Paris End of Collins Street is half a block away, The Yarra River is two blocks away, and you are in the centre of the CBD free tram zone. There is a groovy café right under your balcony for the early morning coffee run, and you are a short walk to many of Melbourne's premier restaurants.
If you are arriving on Skybus from the airport, you will be dropped at Southern Cross Station, on the corner of Bourke Street. Take any Bourke Street tram free four stops, to the top of The Mall, and you are very close to the apartment.
All trams are free in the CBD, so once you are settled just hop on one that's passing to get around Trains require a Myki card, which I can leave for you, and explain how to use. All the City Loop train stations are walking distance from the apartment.
There is a public carpark at the end of the lane. Please ask for directions and prices if you really have to bring your car, as it's very expensive to park in such a central location, and a car is a very slow way to move about the city.
