Why choose Sweet Caroline?
Sweet Caroline is a truly unique apartment, offering house-like space of high quality, characterised by tasteful furnishing. Ambiance is tranquil and leafy. Apartment is newly refurbished with timber floorboards. The area is upmarket and very convenient. Live like a local and walk to Oz Open tennis, great grocers/cafes/restaurants/shops on Toorak Rd/Chapel St, MCG, Botanical Gdn and Fawkner Park. 6 min walk to tram/train. WIFI/Netflix/home office. Professionally cleaned pre-stay guarantee. Quality + responsible owner hosts.
Guests have full access of this charming and leafy apartment. Immaculately appointed and comfortable, you can spend all day here, soaking in the serenity, space and flow of light through the shuttered windows. The outlook is uniquely earthy yet minimalist; a panoramic backdrop of lush vines gracefully clothing the red brick wall of the former Avoca Coach House & Stables, now an exclusive residence, a local treasure rightfully protected by the National Trust.
Located in prestigious Domain Precinct in South Yarra, the area is the definition of exclusivity; established and leafy, yet provides the conveniences of a 'close to city' lifestyle. We are locals in the area and cherish the culture and safety it affords. The apartment block itself is of a very high quality, extremely well maintained, very private and secure. Make no mistake, you are in one of the most sought after streets of Melbourne.
With the fully equipped kitchen providing the option to dine indoors or the tranquil outdoors, you could indulge in your culinary passions; starting with a short stroll to gather fresh produce from boutique grocers such as Lawson Grove Cafe, Finer Fruits, Gum Tree Good Food and Prahran Market. That is if you could resist the temptations of a Cafe Gaia, Entrecote, Tall Timber or Picnic along the way
Perfect for the Melbourne getaway, business travellers and athletes
Your hosts are a couple, once too frequent travellers in the corporate world and have tasted what the best of the best have to offer. We know first hand the importance of quality accommodation backed by fine service.
A getaway takes on a new meaning when one finds that perfect combination of serenity but yet have the fuss free conveniences close at hand at one's own choice. All a short stroll away, enjoy a picnic at the Botanical Gardens or by the river, soak in culture at the Arts Centre and NGV, and for a change of beat, explore the shops on Chapel St and Toorak Rd. Tip: drop shopping bags home, and walk no longer than 8 minutes to the cluster of wellness spas and massages. Hydrate well and re-energise with the many cafes and patisseries 'down the road'.
Located close to some of the top schools in Melbourne Melb Boys & Girls schools, this home with all its features is a perfect long stay base for families, offering the convenience of a safe walk to school or to the tram or South Yarra train station.
This home is equally perfect for business travellers seeking a speedy route to the city without compromising the home comforts, and looking to break away from standard hotel rooms. The natural light and glow of vintage lamps together with the extendable dining table to create more work space where needed, provide the perfect work from home experience. WIFI is included. We have also in place a vintage Arne Vodder office table, a masterpiece and positioned to inspire.
For athletes, the apartment is your ideal base and retreat to recuperate after intense training or competition. Quicker if you jogged of course, it is only a 30 minute walk to the MCG and Rod Laver Arena home of the Australian Open, plus the practice courts at Albert Reserve. Slightly closer to AAMI Park.
Supplement your training with a run around The Tan running track 3.8km lap nearby. A 650 metre hill sprint up Anderson St, or if preferring something more scenic to distract you from the pain, a sprint up to the Shrine of Remembrance, could feature.
As important, finish up at the cafes dotted around Domain Road or at Jardin Tan within the Botanical Gardens. Celebrate a win, or a PB at one of the many fine dining options within a walk from your retreat. A rustic Italian experience at Da Noi or Japanese grill at Wagyu-ya beckons
You will also just be up the hill from scenic bike paths, going East takes you to the infamous Kew Boulevard if climbing hills strike your fancy. Plenty of storage for your bikes in the 2 car garage.
15th November 2015. We have secured a beautiful vintage Arne Vodder office & study desk. As stated earlier, we had been on the hunt for a 'must be right' study table as we think the place is perfect for us looking to get some more serious work done, in addition to having the option of working on the extended study table or sofa, or bed.
11th November 2015. New timber floorboards installed As mentioned this replaced carpet in hallway and living/dining areas. This is an incredible enhancement to the lightness and charm of the space, and works in harmony with the existing furniture.
If there is anything we left out, that you think would help make your stay even more comfortable, please just ask away
