Ground floor deco apartment with north facing enclosed balcony right on Robe Street next to The Esplanade and beachfront in trendy St Kilda. The secure apartment block is called "The Royal" and is a 50 metre walk to the tram stop into the city (15 min) and beyond: but why leave St Kilda when it is all here, sea baths, beach, cafes, bars, restaurants, Luna Park, bicycle paths, renowned Sunday Esplanade market, St Kilda festival, so much to do and see all year round.

Walk outside front entrance turn left and you are on The Esplanade with Sunday market , Palais theatre, Luna Park and adjacent beachfront, turn right and stroll 50 metres then turn right again and you are in foodies heaven on Acland Street with fantastic decadent European cake shops as well as cafes and supermarkets or catch a tram to the city area from the Esplanade and along lively Fitzroy Street. We are sure you will be entertained wherever you go.

Queensize bed in bedroom,mirrored wardrobe with plenty of hanging space, hallway leads to NEW fully equipped kitchen at rear of apartment for those who might like to stay indoors and cook rather than step outside to the cafes and restaurants. Follow hallway to front lounge area with full size lounge suite to laze away a wintry day in front of the 50 inch TV or step outside to the enclosed north facing balcony/patio to partake of the St Kilda atmosphere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable St Kilda accommodation We stayed for nearly three weeks while our own property was being renovated. Great location, surprisingly quiet, warm and functional, and the neighbours are friendly. Sue is a very accommodating host. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home away from Home I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It is a beautiful building, and the apartment is very spacious. For an older building it is remarkably clean with shiny wood polished floors, high ceilings and charming Art Deco adornments throughout. The Balcony is excellent and private for such a bustling hub. With Thick double brick walls, there is no concern for noise (The street is also very quiet, leafy). The owner was very warm and pleasant and offered detailed instructions to reach the apartment. Convenience Store a stones throw down the street, cafes, pubs, easy to catch trams on your door step (direct to markets/CBD) and best of all Walking Distance to all St Kilda has to offer! Forget the Noisy, Crampy & Overpriced Hotels, Do yourself a favour and stay here instead. =) . I will definitely stay again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Conveniently located This place is only a few mins walk to St Kilda beach, the Palais theatre, Luna Park, supermarkets and heaps of cafes and restaurants. Public transport (trams, taxis, buses) is highly accessible and the building itself is secure. The area was surprisingly peaceful and quiet despite the proximity to a theme park. Seemed quite safe and family friendly. Woolworths is about 5 mins walk down Acland Street and there is a lovely restaurant at the end of the nearby pier where you can see penguins and enjoy a great view of the beach. The owner was very prompt and responsive with resolving my enquiries, and was very accommodating and helpful. The price was good and we would definitely consider staying here again.
