Modern and filled with loads of natural light, the ground floor apartment is fully equipped with new furniture to ensure you have a comfortable, clean and convenient stay.
You'll find all the cooking essentials and equipment including Smeg Oven and Cooktop and a dishwasher to make a delicious meal in the kitchen.
The living room has two large comfy couches perfect for relaxing and watching TV, or reading a book.
The master bedroom features - a comfortable queen bed with luxurious bedding and plenty of pillows and cushions - large built in robe with drawers and shelves for all your belongings
The second bedroom features - a super comfy queen bed, luxurious sheets, and loads of pillows and cushions - built in robe
Additional guests: We have a porta cot and roll out single bed available on request for and additional $10 per night. These additional beds would be set up prior to your arrival in existing bedrooms or in common area as requested.
The recently renovated bathroom is equipped with a shower, vanity and luxuriously soft towels.
The main living area includes a reverse cycle air conditioner, along with all rooms having their own hydronic heating for the winter to keep you snug.
There are two outdoor areas for you to enjoy, both with dining / seats for you to relax. The afternoon sun comes in over the front courtyard, making it hard to resist with a quiet drink and a magazine or two.
The European laundry has a Euromaid washing machine, dryer and laundry detergent along with an iron and ironing board, and small clothes airer.
You will have full access to the apartment - it is not lived in and kept in pristine condition especially for our guests. The apartment is located within a secure complex, with check in access via a key safe on site. There is a remote control for the undercover secure carpark beneath the building.
Check in via key safe means you have a convenient and flexible option available to check in as soon as you arrive, but means we may not get the chance to meet you in person. Nevertheless, we are only a phone, text or message away should you need a hand with anything.
St Kilda is one of the key areas to visit when in Melbourne, and our apartment is right in amongst all the action St Kilda has to offer.
On Carlisle St, within 2 minutes walk of the apartment, you have an abundance of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Let's not forget the caffeine fix, with the nearest cafe literally at the front gate My personal faves are Batch Espresso, Uncle, Las Chicas, Ilona Staller and Yo Chi for a delicious serve of FROYO. Yum.
If you are after a much more indulgent fine-dining experience, within 10 mins walk is Ben Shewry's multi-award winning restaurant "Attica." Attica was awarded the Best Restaurant in Australia in 2015. I'd recommend booking WELL in advance if you would like to dine at Attica during your stay.
Carlisle Street also has loads of great homewares, giftware and clothing stores to peruse on your leisurely 5-10 min walk from the apartment. I can't go past Carlisle St Accessories, Beautyologist, Lulu or Little Lulu for the littlies without heading in for a browse at all their gorgeous goodies.
Iconic Luna Park and St Kilda beach are just a short stroll from the apartment, and you can enjoy a delicious slice of cake or glass of wine / beer on Acland St. On the way back you can check out the St Kilda Botanical Gardens too. Ripponlea Estate is also well worth a look if you have time, and often has family fun days / concerts on so check their website before you arrive to see what is coming up.
For those essential items, you will find both Coles and Woolworths for groceries on Carlisle Street, with Aldi also only a short walk away.
Trams: The 3 and 16 tram stop directly out the front gate of the apartment, taking you into the city, or further up Carlisle St if you'd prefer not to take the short walk or if it's raining You can also jump on the 78 or 79 tram on Chapel Street, taking you to the heart of Chapel Street in South Yarra to shop the day away.
Trains: Approx 5 mins walk and you are at the Balaclava train station Sandringham Line, only 12 mins to the city. Along the way, you will stop at Richmond station which is only a short walk to the MCG, Tennis Centre and Aami Park. Or, if you'd prefer a day at the beach, jump on the train on Platform 2 heading away form the city and find yourself at iconic Brighton Beach and the bathing boxes.
Other things to note
Although you are in the thick of all the action St Kilda has to offer, the apartment is set back from the street with the bedrooms to the rear of the building, providing you with a quiet space to enjoy, relax and get a good night's sleep
