Lake Mulwala provides water enthusiasts with year round activities. Enjoy a relaxing scenic cruise on the Lake with a full commentary of the formation and history of the man-made Lake. During the warmer months water skiing is the major attraction at Lake Mulwala. You can learn how to ski or hire a fishing boat or canoe. A popular past time is to hire your own BBQ pontoon boat with friends and sit back, relax and enjoy the views.
Lake Mulwala is one of the best places on the Murray River to catch a Murray Cod. The Cod population is fantastic and as such fishing in the area is a major attraction throughout the year.
Located alongside the Murray River, the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort is a 5 minute drive. The Golf Club Resort is a golfers paradise with 45 holes of some of the finest golf in Australia, winning rave reviews for its design and spectacular settings. Or challenge yourself at the new Ian Stanley designed "Black Bull" course located at Siverwoods.

The lake at Chinaman's Island teems with a multitude of wonderous bird life such as water birds, thornbills, white ibis, herons, pelicans, swans, etc. You may even catch sight of the resident wombat if you are lucky Well worth a visit.

Byramine Homestead was established in 1842 by pioneer Elizabeth Hume. Magnificent gardens, ploughman's lunch and devonshire teas are available. Open Thursday to Monday.
Savernake Wool Station houses a variety of artefacts and a display about the wool industry. This 1930's style woolshed is fully operational and is open by arrangement.
The Pioneer Museum showcases memorabilia depicting the history of Yarrawonga-Mulwala and surrounding district. Includes photographs, artefacts and early farming exhibitions. Housed in a spacious facility featuring one of the largest and most comprehensive exhibits of early pioneering days in Australia.
For those interested in Aboriginal heritage a side trip to Boat Rock and also the Canoe Tree at Kyffins Reserve are not to be missed. Boat Rock is one of a kind, and thus you will not see a phenomenon like this anywhere else in the world. Worth a trip for this alone.
