A new listing this summer. Nestled on Paperbark you will find a sunny spacious 4 bed home ready to welcome you to Inverloch. The house is unassuming from the street, but deceptively spacious inside.
All the bedrooms are larger than usual with built in robes. The main bedroom has a queen bed, ensuite a walk-in robe and air-conditioning. The second bedroom looks out onto the side garden and has three single beds. There is an air-conditioned games room with a table tennis table and some board games.
The family room has plenty of space for entertaining and opens out onto a deck which is sunny and warm in the morning and then shaded by the house after midday. There are tables seating 10 both indoors and outside, as well as a BBQ and a bi-fold kitchen window which makes outdoor dinners a breeze. Leather sofas in the living area look to a flat screen TV with the back garden beyond. The family room is also air-conditioned and has large fans for when the doors are open.
Two more bedrooms are accessed from a hallway off the family room, one with a double bed which enjoys beautiful afternoon sun and the other with three king single beds which looks out to the native back garden. The family bathroom, separate WC and well equipped laundry are located between the two bedrooms.
A double lock up garage is accessible from the front of the house so that you can park the car and store bikes and surf boards etc in the shade but readily to hand when you set out. The outdoor shower is just behind the garage so that returning from the beach you can drop everything and keep going via the shower to the laundry door and the family bathroom.
Leaving the front door, the SLSC and the main surf beach carpark are a 5 minute walk away, turning in the other direction the beach is even closer via a path which cuts across Lohr Avenue and onto the beach near the creek. Further along Paperbark the creek runs from a shallow lake which is surrounded by reeds, standing here in the evening you have the roar of the surf on one side and frogs croaking in the lake on the other.
Great venue for a craft weekend - all set up ready to go, including a stocked fridge!
The main living room can be set up with a maximum of 10 tables and chairs making the property an ideal venue for a craft weekend. There is a large, separate dining table in the living area as well meaning that there is no need to clear away your work at mealtimes. There is also a separate living room which you can either use for shared tools such as ironing boards, cutting machines etc.
The light in the main living room is ideal for your work as the room has large windows facing east and south meaning that lots of light floods in without the problem of glare or some guests having to squint into the sun! In the afternoon the light streams in through west facing clerestory windows.
Look at the bedding configuration to see what would suit your group. Usually when we have a group staying for a weekend, the house would be set up with two beds in each room, giving everyone the maximum space possible. There are two bathrooms to share and a separate WC, plus the laundry doubles as an extra vanity with a mirror and hair dryer provided.
Guests arriving for a craft weekend will find all the beds made when they arrive with all towels and basic toiletries to hand. The fridge and pantry will be stocked with everything you need for supper on Friday evening, breakfasts and lunches on Saturday and Sunday and lots of snacks for morning and afternoon teas. Dietary requests can also be catered for.
Early morning walks along the beach into town are recommended as an ideal start to the day and there are several options for coffee before the walk back. Alternatively a walk to the cliffs at the opposite end of the beach would take about 1/2 hour.
There is plenty of parking at the front of the house with room for two cars in the garage and four more on the driveway. Alternatively car can be parked just off the road on the grass nature strip.
If you would like me to book you a table in town for dinner on either Friday or Saturday evening, just let me know, both pubs have good menus and there are also fish and chips, pizza, Chinese and a cafe serving an international menu in town.
Inverloch is 1/34 hour drive from Melbourne. Follow the Monash freeway towards Warrigal and take the A422 south to Koo Wee Rup to join the South Gippsland highway which will take you to Inverloch via Wonthaggi.
